Many people are giving it a go and growing veggies in the International Year of Plant Health. If the show goes ahead we have new sections for younger entrants and schools who keep a veggie garden. 16.01.2022 So you might we wondering how we CAUTIOUSLY work towards a Chapman Valley Show under the current COVID-19 health crisis. We are following RASWA's lead and will let you know how everything goes along. To fill you in IF we go ahead this year we've trimmed down our expectations we are NOT going for Sponsorship or Trophy money as we don't want to burden families, individuals or businesses at this current time. We would love to put a show together but ONLY under the correct circ...umstances as we know that people businesses, homelife and livelihoods have all been disrupted. We've updated our Schedule and its online www.chapmanvalleyshow.com.au. IF we have an Exhibition Hall this year it will be FREE entry and no prize money but with perhaps trophies for Highest and Second Highest in sections. The Education section was reworked into the new Literature section however we are not asking schools to contribute as they are under enough stress at the moment. A lot of our local families contribute to the show and over the next couple of months we hope to highlight some activities that you can participate in with the kids and/or by yourself - by going through the craft cupboard (if you have one!), finishing off projects or finally starting ones you've wanted to do. We hope to be able to Showcase them this year but if not then we've always got 2021!! There will be light at the end of the tunnel and we wish all our community, followers and friends and their loved ones good health and hopefully a great agricultural season ahead. The CVAS committee... See more
