24.01.2022 Reinforcement where it matters. The seat and footwell area of the ski cops a battering, so strengthening that area in the Hull and not just the deck makes a big difference.

13.01.2022 I was only a junior in 89" and it was some of the biggest surf I've paddled in. We paddled a reverse course and had 12min time limit to finish the race because of the conditions. Grant Kenny was everyone's idol back then. This was a textbook lesson in ski paddling. People talk about luck in surf, what this video doesn't show is about an hour before this race GK was out searching for the way out past the break.
