16.01.2022 The FINAL figures are in and we have raised $20,670 in total to go to The Sebastian Foundation thanks to all our sponsors and donors on the night. Thank you Sam who made up the balance to bring us to our final total. We appreciate all of you and look forward to the creation of 'Heart Space', a place where families come to feel safe and be empowered to get back to a fulfilling life. ABOUT THE SEBASTIAN FOUNDATION Four years ago, Guy and Jules Sebastian began The Sebastian Fou...ndation. Based on an understanding of the positive impact a strong family unit can have on both individuals and community, The Sebastian Foundation aims to provide a little bit of the warmth and benefit of family where it might be missing through underpriviledge, serious illness or domestic violence. In 2017 already we have plans greenlit for improving several Domestic Violence crisis accommodation centres to make them more like a home rather than simply a roof over their heads, an indigenous refuge that specialises in reuniting mothers with kids who have been removed from them, and a cottage where families can stay together when a parent is going through treatment for serious illness. Further, Jules and The Foundation are working with the Minister for Social Housing on possibilities for reform in the way women and families escaping domestic violence will be sheltered, driving change which will have a long reaching and deep impact. 02.01.2022 What an awesome night! So honoured to work in partnership with The Sebastian Foundation to fun-raise for shelters providing refuge and a safe environment for women and children whose lives are disrupted by domestic violence which is a cause close to my heart. I'm passionate about all issues impacting women and children. On behalf of my fellow co-founders, a big thank you to all our sponsors and to all who attended for digging deep to help us raise $18,000 on the night, and to... Lehane Innovations P/L for their generosity to top it up to $20,000. A big shout out to our Platinum Sponsor OSIM for generously donating their latest model uLove massage chair worth almost $10,000 and to the gorgeous legal eagle Dianna Du for being the successful bidder.
