23.01.2022 Our 4th and 5th Year students had a rehersal at Hyde Park today for the Festival of Lights. Due to COVID, the event can't run as normal. However, we will be taking part virtually performing a Spanish piece by our amazing Miss Lynn. We are so lucky to have Miss Lynn exclusively working with CBI providing the best Spanish dance tuition in Australia to compliment our students' Classical & Contemporary dance studies.

Studying at The Graduate College of Dance and then The Australian Ballet School, Alex has worked with various companies including The Australian Ballet, Deutsche Oper am Rhein and Hannover Staatsballett. We are so incredibly lucky to have such an experienced artist to partner our Kitris and such a role model for all our... male students. 22.01.2022 A few snaps from our CBS Summer School Workshop - 3 days of dance, singing and fun! This years theme was Ancient Greece and our little grecians are participating in classes of ballet, musical theatre, Spanish, contemporary as well as arts and crafts and variations! Here you can see some improvisation with Miss Jaimie, a snippet of musical theatre in preparation for their end of workshop performance tomorrow and arts and crafts time! Our little dancers have had a blast and we have absolutely loved having them. 22.01.2022 The advent of 2021 heralds a new and exciting organisational turn for Charlesworth Ballet College, as our pre-professional programme is being absorbed into our not for profit organisation, Youth Ballet WA (YBWA). YBWA has always been associated with all CBI performances and we are so pleased to be able to continue to provide our young dancers with excellent training and performance opportunities through YBWA. 22.01.2022 If you’re looking for a fun and engaging school holiday experience this October, The Flamenco Collective is running FREE community classes for kids (6-11 years) and teens (12-16 years) on October 2nd and 3rd. No previous flamenco (or dance) experience is required, and it’s a great opportunity to give this amazing dance genre a go! 19.01.2022 As we reach the end of 2020, the time comes to say goodbye to some of our beloved students. Holly Menezes is one of our full-time students who is moving on, we will miss her dearly but are so proud of her and excited for her new journey! It has been a pleasure to watch her grow and nurture her love of dance while she has completed her academic and ATAR studies. Here are some words from Holly - Don Quixote will be my last performance with Charlesworth Ballet Institute as next ...year I will be going to Murdoch University to study a Bachelor in Criminology and a Bachelor in Science. I am sad to leave but excited for what’s to come. I have been at Charlesworth since year 7 and chose to do the ATAR pathway to keep my options open. Charlesworth Ballet College has been very supportive throughout the years and the teachers are always patient and kind. I have made many life long friends and will cherish all the memories. Congratulations Holly, we wish you every success

11.01.2022 Another of our gorgeous students that will be moving on next year is Samantha Green. We have loved having Sam as part of our Charlesworth family for the last 5 years and are so proud of her achievements. Sam will be continuing her dance education at WAAPA next year and we can’t wait to follow her dance journey and see where she will take her incredible talent! Here are some words from Sam - I started dancing at Charlesworth 5 years ago and over that time I have learnt so m...uch from all of the amazing teachers. Charlesworth has helped me grow so much as a dancer and I am so thankful for all the training I have been given. I also feel so grateful for all of the opportunities and experiences I have had since I started training here. Don Quixote will be my last performance with Charlesworth. I will definitely miss dancing here, however, I am so excited to be continuing my training at Waapa next year and I can’t wait to see where it will take me. We will miss you Sam

06.01.2022 A huge congratulations to our College students who not only performed beautifully in their Stage Exams but in their Spanish and Contemporary dances as well. With such a uniquely challenging and frustrating start to the year, it was so nice to show the parents their children dancing with so much joy on stage. A big thank you to all our CBI teachers for preparing them so well and to our esteemed panel of current and former professional dancers for taking the time to adjudicate. Enjoy your holidays!

Aymeric is a dancer and choreographer with Introdans and this incredible opportunity is such a great way to get your body moving and feeling fabulous over the holidays! We strongly encourage our full-time Year 3-GY and our Level 2-4 after school students to join in! The classes will be running from the 4th-8th of January from 5-6:30pm. ... Due to COVID, the students had only 8 weeks to prepare, and our Director, Miss Sonya, and panel of external assessors were very impressed with their efforts. 02.01.2022 At CBC we love having guest teachers and this workshop week some of our full-time and part-time students were lucky enough to have Joshua Limmer teach them an open ballet class! Josh has just returned to Perth after several years dancing in ballet and contemporary companies throughout Germany. Thank you so much Josh for teaching our students, it was such a great experience for them and they all thoroughly enjoyed the class
