25.01.2022 Hey Queensland We've added two additional symptoms to the COVID-19 symptoms list. If you're experiencing ANY of the symptoms listed below, come forward, get tested for COVID-19 and then stay at home until you get your results.

25.01.2022 [Learning from home] We know the importance of education and development in the first 5 years and want to continue to support you and your children at home. We have put together Learning From Home packs for everyone at home during the week. We will also have 2-3 group time video calls where children can join together for stories songs and learning. ... This is no longer just for our kindy group but all children who have an enrollment with us. If you would like one please let us know, they will be available from Friday.

25.01.2022 A great one to share with your little ones!

24.01.2022 Getting the final touches of our renovations done to make room for more children for 2020. Anyone who would like to help us with the clean up is more then welcome to stop by! We will be here ALLLLLLLLL weekend

24.01.2022 With cold & flu season settling we ask our community to help us stop the spread of infection. If your family are sick or unwell please stay home, and if your child becomes unwell during the day they will be asked to leave immediately. Please consider how your actions impact our service and all those who use it. Continuing to send your children when sick is putting our children, families and staff at risk and will result in their enrollment being terminated.

23.01.2022 As the Kindness Rocks movement spreads throughout Charleville, it is natural that it has gripped the children at CHELC too. Children have been sharing rocks and tales of their adventures finding them. Over the past few weeks we have had a collection out the front for plain rocks for us to paint and hide. Last week the children went on an excursion to Grahame Andrews Park to hide their beautiful rocks and they found some treasures too before rehiding them. What a joyful day <3... Miss Ryleigh shares with us, how she extended the childrens interest in rocks, to the kindness rock projects origins: "This activity has originated from The Kindness Rocks Project. This is to promote random acts of kindness in the shape of painted rocks with inspirational words! It got me thinking, how can we incorporate and extend on this idea within the classroom? Teaching children to be givers, helps to build their values and provides opportunities to develop kindness, a strength that improves lives and reduces acts of bullying. Not only is it fun to design and create these gorgeous rocks, but children can also learn the powerful skill of using words to inspire and motivate both themselves and others around them"

22.01.2022 Calling anyone who can reduce their hours until we are able to complete our extensions. A BIG THANK YOU to our families who have already agreed to do this, and those who have changed their current bookings to allow for more children. It is beautiful to see the community coming together to support each other in this time of need!

22.01.2022 We are at the Street Party tonight fundraising and celebrating together. Come find us outside Suncorp! We have Gift Wrapping and boxes of Playdough!

22.01.2022 What a beautiful surprise from the Ballantine Family Thank you so very much for thinking of us and showing your appreciation. It means a lot to us, and was a wonderful end to the week!

22.01.2022 Great news: Charlie managed to successfully have a new arm attached. Because he is recovering from surgery he is a higher risk and therefore will be self isolating. Dr Mei-Juan will be caring for Charlie through the coming months. Charlie will still be learning and playing, just not at the centre. From his home he will share with all of you isolating in your home what he is up to. Maybe you can join in? Once all of this is over he will go back to visiting you all over the we...ekend! But for now we will connect virtually! Some of our Emus have been working on crocheting projects so we though we would add a video of how his new arm was made

21.01.2022 Today is Jessica H's first day of Maternity Leave. We look forward to seeing her again next year with her darling little one. Feel free to comment any well wishes you want to send to Jessica! Being such a huge support for the centre, filling her shoes is not very straight forward! There are a couple of staff who have put their hands up to develop new skills and gain some experience so will be sharing her role until Jess returns. It will be a great opportunity for our staff to expand their experience and knowledge to develop their own professional growth.

20.01.2022 While we enjoy this glorious rain, we still have several educators unable to get to the centre due to the flood water. Please stay safe and enjoy the beautiful rain Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it. For flood emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500. For life threatening emerg...encies, call Triple Zero (000) immediately. Current emergency information is available at www.qld.gov.au/alerts

14.01.2022 Happy Early Childhood Educators Day! What a year this has been! In the face of a pandemic, a renovation, & an explosion of new children and families our beautiful educators have all persevered and risen to each challenge with such kindness and compassion. Despite the chaos and challenges, our team of educators has focused on providing the best education and care they possibly could. The joy we see in our children everyday is a testament to their hard work. Every milestone, ...every giggle, every success is a result of your perseverance.
