22.01.2022 Charleville Police often get asked about noise, and in particular, when is the right time to make a noise complaint. The answer? Any time of the day or night. If you reasonably believe the noise being emitted from a place is excessive, you may make a complaint to police. This excludes concerts, building sites, or events that have appropriate noise permits. However, it is important to note that in certain cases, vehicles can also be the subject of noise complaints. When inve...Continue reading

21.01.2022 "A woman with a voice, is, by definition, a Strong Woman" Melinda Gates This week, we launch the 2020 QRRRWN Strong Women Leadership Awards Program, with than...ks to sponsors, the Queensland Government, and FRRR. We invite you to join us. Regularly, we ask for people to pause and consider those women who are leading, day after day, week after week, across the Regional, Rural and Remote areas of our State. For several months every year, for eight years now, we ask that you do more than think of them. We ask that you give the voice to the scope of work they do as Small Business Owners, as Organisational, Sector, Community and Volunteer Leaders. It's easy to acknowledge the leadership and strength - spend five minutes considering why what they do is making a difference, then five minutes (less if you type quickly), nominating them. Let's give voice to another cohort of successful, strong women, and the work they undertake. To Nominate or Learn more https://www.qrrrwn.org.au/strong-women-leadership-awards/ #QRRRWN #ConnectDevelopInspire #swla2020

03.01.2022 With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Neighbourhood Watch Queensland Conference in the interests of the heal...th and safety of all attendees. I sincerely appreciate the valuable volunteer work you all undertake in connecting and supporting our communities. As we make our way through this unprecedented time, it is more important than ever that we strengthen our sense of community. The annual conference has always been an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of Neighbourhood Watch members in keeping our community safe. Whilst the conference is cancelled, I am pleased to say the 2020 NHWQ Awards will still proceed with winners celebrated online through the NHWQ Blog, NHWQ Facebook page and myPolice. The global COVID-19 crisis has impacted us all in many ways. As we continue to navigate our way through this unique situation, I offer a sincere thank you for your incredible dedication and contribution in helping to keep Queenslanders safe and I look forward to announcing the award winners later this year. 02.01.2022 LOCK IT OR LOSE IT A friendly reminder from Charleville Police and Charleville Neighbourhood Watch to lock your homes and cars! We often think that just because we live in a small country town, we don't need to be so vigilant with our valuables. Crime exists everywhere, and here in Charleville we experience high levels of opportunistic property crime, where items are taken from unlocked vehicles and houses just because they're easily accessible. Don't make yourself a target for thieves. Lock up your belongings!
02.01.2022 Is Your Vehicle Secure? Charleville Police would like to remind local residents about keeping their property secure, in particular their vehicles. Do not leave it to chance for opportunist to find your vehicle unlocked so they can easily gain access into your vehicle to steal things or even steal your car. Would your insurance company pay if your vehicle has been left insecure. Please help the police to help you by keeping ALL your property secure :)
