25.01.2022 Another successful and enjoyable Saturday morning in the garden. Thank you everyone for your presence, time & energy. Report below from Judith our garden co-ordinator:... Lettuce and spinach seedlings were planted in B1, one worm farm was sifted to remove sharp eggshells, compost bins tended and stink bugs taken off the lime tree. The basil is thriving in B2 so members, please do come in to harvest taking care to take the tip just above two laterals. This encourages the plants to grow into bushes.

19.01.2022 There’s lots happening in the garden....

13.01.2022 Update from Judy our co-ordinator: Hi Gardeners We had a wonderful morning in the garden.... The soil was removed from B9; thanks Graeme, Paul & Mike! We hope to convert it to a wicking bed on Monday & Tuesday. Cathy and Charlie dug in the green manure in B1 and cleared out the nasturtium corner. Lily and Katie planted, pruned, tended composts and beds. Garry introduced and welcomed new member Colleen Corn seeds planted last Saturday are germinating and spinach and basil seedlings are growing well as are the three types of climbing beans and cucumbers. Zucchinis and strawberries are very productive this year (members please harvest them). And we were so glad to see Elise and Tom who travelled for over an hour from the North Shore to join our working bee! Planning to meet again next Saturday morning from 9.00am. Judith

12.01.2022 Hi Gardeners A great time in the garden this morning harvesting our first crop of potatoes. There will be another harvest in November. * B5 compost closed and B1 started.... * All veggies fertilised and watered. Broad beans, pomegranates and limes coming along very nicely. We do have a new member tho hanging out with the limes who we might need to talk about... Elise
