20.01.2022 I live and work in The Gap. I love the area, the lush little pocket surrounded by nature, the community that thrives here. It's like a little not-so-secret part of Brisbane that is surrounded by the forest. I was very stoked to find out about the Health and Wellness Expo - The Gap and Surrounds, and even more stoked that it's nearly here! This Sunday!! I'll be doing a half hour meditation and energy clearing demo at 8.15 for all you keen beans who would like to join in a free guided meditation! There will be heaps of other activities, stalls, workshops and demos happening too, it will be a lovely local morning in our neighbourhood!!
20.01.2022 The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of movement and activity for me, anyone else??I've moved house, started a new job, run numerous workshops, helped almost every day with a climate action election campaign, and turned the unimpressive age of 32 at a beautiful full moon gatherung with family and friends. As well as looking after family and friends that have needed as much support as I have. It's been a busy few weeks, and I say this only as a precursor to highlight what ...I've learnt through this huge upheaval process. What I've realised (not just found out, but actually realised and embodied) is that protection, boundaries, fortitude; these are not things that we put up around ourselves. These are not things separate from or outside of ourselves. As with all things worthwhile, these things are found within. The inner fortitude that brings real protection from energetic invaders, suckers and thiefs, it comes from a strong connection within our core. When we really know who we are, we know truth, and when we are strong no one can sway us from that truth. Meditate on who you really are, beyond the external stories, the past experiences, the entrained thought patterns. Come back to your core. Come back to yourself, and you will know your truth. Maybe you realise this involves a painful letting go or detaching from people, places, stories, communities. Let them go. If they're really aligned with what you need, they'll come back. If not, guess what? Life is abundant You'll know when people are trying to move you in ways that don't support you. You will feel it in your core, because it will not be real for you. Your core is an energetic channel that runs straight through you, running between the heavenly divine and our sacred mother earth. Keep that channel clear, and you will feel the protection. Keep that channel clear and you will be free. And always remember to love yourselves, each other, and all those around you, and recieve love in return. Always always always

16.01.2022 A heads up: Im changing the way I charge. As of now Im offering one-on-one reiki and energy clearing sessions on a sliding scale of $50-$130. This means you choose what you pay for the session, can be anywhere between $50 and $130. For me, this sliding scale is that sweet spot between ensuring Im covering my base costs of rent, consumables, the investments Ive made into training and learning over the years etc, while still making sessions accessible for clients of differe...nt pay scales the single Mums, the students, those on disability pension, all the way up to professionals, real estate moguls and all the I-just-struck-it-rich-online entrepreneurs This is an offer from the heart, and it truly feels pretty damn good to open up to this new phase. If you choose to pay less, it wont at all mean you get a less deep or professional session, all clients will be treated the same. Its sometimes tricky to putting a price tag on health, especially for such spiritual work as energy healing (although its relatively easy to put a price on the bricks and mortar setting in which healing often happens!). I was constantly questioning if I should be raising or lowering my prices, so I've taken this out of the equation altogether. This sliding scale puts the power and depth of your transformation in your hands. You're investing in yourself. That doesn't mean that if you pay more you'll see greater, deeper, or bigger changes, but the more that you choose to invest in yourself based on your current situation, the more you'll see these changes and expansions come into your awareness. And arent these changes are what lifes all about?! I've just had a massive change and invested in moving into a gorgeous new space to live and treat from. These circles bring our awareness to the energetic body, and incorporate philosophies from daoism and Chinese medicine, yogic sutras, and the buddhist foundations of reiki. We share thoughts and ideas together, and then move into a guided meditation and energy clearing, giving our gratitude and love to Mother Earth and Divine... Spirit. Anyone who's been to an Arts Night Community event will tell you it's all about letting creativity and connection flow. 07.01.2022 Found a book on the bus today! It was lying face down under a seat and I immediately wondered 'okay universe, what have you got in store for me today?' I flipped it over and my heart melted into oneness. Buddha's equanimous smile gazed up and penetrated right through me. Personally I am more of a follower of Daoism than Buddhism. Both have many Gods, yet Daoism has no named creator or lead figurehead. It's pretty much up to you to find your way, because you already know it! ...Of course so many faiths say the same thing. Still I find this find to be super relevant as reiki has it's roots deep in the noble peace of ancient Buddhism. Reiki is actually a few thousand years old - probably as old as people have been using their hands for healing (so, um...always). Many of the symbols and meditations in certain reiki lineages can be traced back to Tibetan Buddhism, and Dr. Mikao Usui, the modern father of reiki is said to have been a buddhist practitioner. It's probably for this reason that reiki is traditionally looked at as a tool and practice for personal spiritual development and awareness, and one that is used to heal yourself first and foremost, and which you can then use to assist others. I flipped open to the marked page, and the first words I read were: 'Nirvana is 'to be realised by the wise within themselves''. Bloody oath. Thanks universe for the delivery of such a bounty of peace and connection What I'm hearing loud and clear is to look after your own self first, and the rest will happen on its own

06.01.2022 The heart is our home, the place we come back to. Turns out I've been holding some toxic beliefs in there, without knowing it! Now that I know about them... I realise I have a lot of work to do to keep clearing them out. The first step of transformation is the awareness of what we're holding onto and where. Healing the heart is an area I've done a lot of work on, and this was a great reminder that we all are continually unlocking old patterns and moving through into greater ...areas of freedom. Even though I don't specifically talk about the energy body here, I'm sharing my first Medium article because the heart is the strongest electrical and energetic point in the body. Tapping into this highly sensitive area is where true potency and liberation lies. Do you have a toxic love story? 03.01.2022 Imagine how bland and boring the night sky would be if the stars stopped shining. How dull the heavens would be. This is what we face in a world where we stop shining our light.... We can do this for many reasons - feelings of unworthiness, fear of judgements, overanalysing situations, coming into contact with unknown energies that seem to throw us off our path. But we can only be thrown off our path if we allow the mind to believe it can be thrown. Possibly reread that last sentence and take it in again, because in reality we are always on path. Always. Being confused is no indication that you're off path, it's usually a sign that lessons are being integrated. This weekend I experienced for the umpteenth time what it feels like to put down my light, and I allowed the expectations of others to dominate my internal world. Confusing and disconnecting about sums it up. Yet I'm so grateful for this lesson, because it showed me how powerless we become when we stop shining, and how powerful we are for ourselves and others when we own and express nothing more than ourselves. Now imagine a world we are each shining our inner light to our full potential. How vibrant, colourful and alive the world would be! I choose to come from a place of 'I am enough', and to have confidence in the offerings that I bring - and then remember to actually bring them!! We can know exactly what our light is, but shining and sharing that light with others - this means that we are seen. Seen in all our flawed perfection, our ugliness and beauty, our grace and confusion. And these are all parts of us that make up our light. 'Shine your light. Someone needs to find you.' - Nina Amir. 02.01.2022 I posted about it this before I watched it, and now I've just watched the movie and the first in the 8-part documentary series. Now I feel I have to share it again. This truly is a beautful offering put together over 11 years in 16 countries. They present ancient wisdom and its explanations for the transitions that we're going through at this moment in history.... It describes beautifully our need for connection to each other, to our land, and to ourselves. In a world that has become so disconnected in so many ways, this movie is a source of information to help us remember what we have forgotten. Helping us to remember that we can create a future that is co-operative, joyful, and harmonious. As one Australian Aboriginal speaker in the movie so beautifully puts it: "We haven't forgotten how to dream, we've just forgotten that we are dreaming." I highly recommend watching, the movie is available online for free for the next week, and one episode is uploaded each day and available online for 72 hours. Reawaken your soul, reconnect with life.
