25.01.2022 Charlotte had her ENT follow up today with Dr. Malouf. He's great with kids! Charlotte's grommet in her left ear is about to fall out and he has noticed she has what is called glue ear in her left ear. Glue ear is when fluid builds up in the middle ear. This means if the glue ear is still occurring, Charlotte will need to have surgery again to have new grommets inserted. We will go back and see Dr. Malouf in 9 months time for review. Charlotte calls him the lolly doctor because each visit he gives her a cup of mnm's and lolly snakes for being so brave.

24.01.2022 Girls weekend away

24.01.2022 We had such a fun day today!

22.01.2022 New winter clothes and mum's sunglasses... one cool chicky babe! It's starting to get cold here, so that calls for puffy jackets and trackie dacks. Best N Less and Kmart have such a cool winter range and Charlotte is living her best life insisting on wearing three layers of clothing

20.01.2022 Meet Charlotte She was born on the 30th of September 2016. Her first breath took ours away... The first thing we noticed about Charlotte was that she was not a tiny little baby, in fact chubby and pink. Born at 38 weeks gestation, she was a healthy 3.4kg. She was alert, with dark blue eyes, good voice and, ironically in hindsight, she achieved an outstanding nine out of ten on the Apgar score that measures the health of newborns. She looked just absolutely precious as we cudd...Continue reading

20.01.2022 Charlotte had her EEG test yesterday. She was such a brave girl. We were discharged yesterday and now home. Charlotte is feeling much better. We will be following up with our favourite paediatrician Dr. Chris Ingall with our results. So good to be home but far out what a roller coaster. Thanks everyone for your love and well wishes.

19.01.2022 Daddy cuddles for the first time since before coronavirus lockdown. Charlotte was so happy to see her dad.

18.01.2022 Morning walks with miss moo, collecting sea shells. Sorry for the lack of updates, life's been pretty busy. Charlotte seen her paediatrician 2 weeks ago with the results from her ECG. Charlotte has been diagnosed with Petit Mal Seizures, other wise known as absence seizures. However, when we were rushed to hospital via ambulance a couple of weeks ago, Dr. Ingall believes Charlotte has had a cardiac episode. I wish there were more testing done at the time in hospital, such as an ECHO to double check her heart. Luckily enough I contacted Charlotte's cardiologist in Brisbane and booked an appointment with them for next week. In the mean time, there isn't much to do with the absence seizures, just to monitor and if noticed to make a diary of when they occur. We follow up with Charlotte's paediatrician in 6 months time.

18.01.2022 What a scary 36 hours we've had. Charlotte was rushed to hospital via ambulance on Sunday night. She went floppy and unresponsive whilst at home. They've checked her heart and are confident it's not her heart. Today she will be having an EEG done, which is a test that will record the electrical patterns in her brain to determine if she has a form of epilepsy.

16.01.2022 Happy 4th Birthday to our beautiful girl. Every year I thank our lucky stars that you are ours and have made it to another birthday. You have jumped so many hurdles in your life and beat every battle. You are strong, brave, bold and one funny little character. I love you my sweet girl. Love mum and Aubree x

16.01.2022 18/10/2020 Charlotte, Aubree and I walked 4km together for Heart Kids charity walk Two Feet and a Heartbeat. We walked today for the 4 lives lost every week to congenital heart disease. I will be walking 8km this week in honour of the 8 babies born every day to CHD. Charlotte was one of those 8 babies. How lucky are we to have our gorgeous girl here today with us.

15.01.2022 Charlotte seen the amazing Dr. Ben Anderson this morning. He has treated Charlotte since day one and in our eyes, the best cardiologist. Charlotte will need to wear a holter monitor for 24 hours to monitor her heart rhythms. Everything heart wise still looks the same as it did 6 months ago when we seen him. Charlotte will need to have a CT scan under general anaesthesia to further look at her heart. But for now, home time with this brave munchkin.
