10.01.2022 The Wycheproof Preschool is going to be very impressive next year with new facilities along with a new shed we have contributed too! The Wycheproof Preschool Centre Parent Advisory Group was delighted to hear the announcement that they were successful in receiving the Charlton & District Community Bank Community Grant. The $20,000 in funding will go to a much-needed Outdoor Storage Shed at the new Wycheproof Early Learning Centre. As a Parent Group with limited volunteer nu...mbers and the big task of funding particular aspects of the new facility, we were delighted to be recognised as a group in need and a cause worth contributing to. We will be forever grateful to the Charlton & District Community Bank for their much-needed assistance, as will the many generations of children and the staff of the future centre who will directly benefit from using the modernised storage facility. -Tessa Coles See more

07.01.2022 Successful Community Grant Applicant The Birchip Golf Club mower is used exclusively by volunteers and was becoming unsafe to use. We saw the Bendigo Bank grant as an opportunity to replace the old mower as our club was not in a position to do so...... The new mower has now done many hours work and has been a great benefit to our clubs operation and will be for many years to come. 05.01.2022 Tomorrow, 25th April commemorates 105 years since the landing of the ANZAC soldiers in Gallipoli in 1905, the rosemary sprig is often worn as it grows wild on the island. This year ANZAC Day looks very different as services are cancelled and yet a beautiful initiative has built momentum. The RSL and Legacy are encouraging everyone to stand on your porch, driveway or yard at 6am as the Last Post is played and #STANDTO for one minutes silence as we remember those who sacrificed their lives to save ours - very poignant even more so in the current situation. Lest we forget.

This trailer is the base of a Portal Stage that is being built for the show committee. This will allow them to have an enclosed stage anywhere on their show day.
