24.01.2022 Hi all, please see the attached regarding our annual tournament weekend, unfortunately due to the unknown, and the want to celebrate our 50th tournament in grand fashion, we have taken the conservative step of scaling back the 2021 event. Of course we would love to still see everyone here, and after the year that we have had our town also needs to see you, but with the possibility of limitations still being in place we have taken this decision. Hoping you can still make it up and we can have another awesome weekend in Charlton, and then be back in 2022 with a few extra friends and help us celebrate the 50th tournament in style - planning is already underway. We will keep you posted with developments as they come to hand.

22.01.2022 Another tournament is done and dusted. Another fantastic weekend.The weather was brilliant all weekend, there was plenty of catching up, new friendships formed, and some great tennis played. Many thanks to everyone who was part of it, and to our generous sponsors. We hope everyone has made it home safely and look forward to seeing you all back for our 50th Tournament in 2021. 18.01.2022 Great to see a full front row of courts in operation for the first time this year last Thursday for the start of our Thursday night social hits. Thanks to all who came out and took a chance on the weather - ended up being a great night for it, would be nice if the mozzies stay away though!! Still lots of room on the courts for more numbers, and we are going again tomorrow night from 6:30pm. All are very much welcome - we'd love to see you there. For those that are interested, the Ladies Thursday Morning competition is cranking up tomorrow morning from around 9:15am.

18.01.2022 Season 2020/21 is set to kick off. Charlton has entered one team into the North Central Tennis Association Saturday competition, with play to commence on Saturday 31st of October, at home against Donald. Thursday night social tennis will get underway this Thursday - 15th October at 6:30pm, first two weeks will be a free hit with ladder based competition to commence after that - numbers dependent. Ladies will officially kick off on Thursday the 29th of October, names in by 9am for a 9:15am start. Juniors, will also begin on Thursday the 29th, names to Troy so that coaching groups can be organised and communicated. Hotshots program also set to run, please register names to indicate interest. 15.01.2022 COVID CLASSIC UPDATE - Hope you are looking forward to the upcoming weekend of tennis as much as we are!! In line with our current caution around planning for holding this year’s Covid Classic and trying to ensure that we keep both our local community and our tennis tournament community safe, we have had to scale back our on-site catering for this year’s play - also allowing some support for our local eateries that have done it tough during the various stages of restrictions.... As such, the following plans have been put in place: Saturday - Breakfast - Egg & Bacon BBQ available at clubhouse from 7:45pm. Lunch - last morning matches on court by 11:30am, afternoon matches to commence at 1:00pm. Dining options available throughout town as per attached list. Dinner - various eating options around town, nothing of significance at club. Sunday - Breakfast - Egg & Bacon BBQ available at clubhouse from 7:45pm. Lunch - last morning matches on court by 11:30am, afternoon matches to commence at 1:00pm. Some restricted options available in town, and a basic BBQ will be prepared at clubhouse. Slices, tea & coffee, pre-packaged chocolates, drinks and ice-creams will be available at the clubhouse. Please see attached kitchen list for details of available items. Unfortunately, the Yabby races will not be part of this years program. The annual SMASH 4 CASH will be held during the Sunday lunch break. Club shower facilities will still be available, but own personal towels, bathmats etc will need to be used. Clubrooms will still be available for use, however restrictions on numbers allowed inside at any one time will need to be observed. There are a number of dining/eating options in town, if you haven't received via email, please email us at [email protected] and we will send you through the various options and opening times as well as this year's clubhouse kitchen menu.
