22.01.2022 Charmac Merino ewes & lambs pre weaning. Hoggets ewes produced 110% lambs at marking. Lambs weaned at 5 months and averaged 42 kg liveweight, heaviest lamb 60 kg. Ewes post weaning were shorn and averaged 4.5 kg fleece weight, pre skirting. Photo of ewes with natural tails. No fleeces discarded for entire flock. Photo of ewe's udder, 7 days after weaning, demonstrating the extent of their milk production. Outstanding milkers. All achieved in drought conditions.

15.01.2022 Charmac Merino ewes have plentiful milk. This stud ewe being shorn has an excellent udder & test shape. And she is clearly still feeding her lamb(s) which are now 4.5 months old. As a Sheep Breeder, l believe you cannot beat ewes with good milk and maternal values. Charmac ewes prove merinos also have good milk.

12.01.2022 A vision splendid of a Charmac Merino Poll ewe and lamb grazing at Rosemont Farm, Table Top, New South Wales, Australia. The Charmac Sheep are non mulesed. The ewes are approaching shearing and we are expecting an excellent wool harvest despite a crippling drought. Ewes lambed in May to the current team of designer Charmac Merino Poll rams. The carcase shape of our lamb drop is exceeding our expectations and we cannot wait to hook the lambs and validate our breeding program. ...In 9 years we have increased the eye muscle area of our rams by 250%. We have an exciting line up of both stud and commercial rams available for sale. We strongly recommend our clients trial a Charmac ram to see the difference. We look forward to hearing from anyone interested in looking at our flock. 11.01.2022 Meet Tex and Marty - Rosemont's working dogs. Both are Kelpies. Tex is 6 years old and Marty is 2 years old. The boys are marvellous with both sheep and cattle. And, bulls are no match for these boys. They love their work. Where would we be without these trusty friends.

11.01.2022 We would like to introduce you to our nursery lambs. Life started tough for these girls and guys but now they are growing in leaps and bounds. They cant wait to get out into the bigger paddock during the day to graze and play. Little Arnold is the youngest of the group and still requires a bottle twice a day. They are a joy to handle and love to have a pat and give you a sniggle or two. Sheep are far more intelligent than people give them credit for, these guys know their names and come to you when you call them. So adorable

10.01.2022 Nursery lambs on the bar, performing their sychronised, percussion sucking. These orphan lambs have been given a chance at life. Our experience has been they turn into very worthy individuals and terrific leaders when mixed with the paddock raised lambs. Well worth the effort....... #merinosheep #lambs

06.01.2022 Charmac stud ram No.15174 the bare bellied merino. Observe the bare belly, scrotum and inner leg - no wool!!! This sheep has been purpose breed for western regions to avoid collecting vegetative matter. A real innovation

05.01.2022 Charmac recently commenced shearing. Despite the drought and all the dust, our non mulesed ewes produced wool that is delightfully soft, white and strong in strength. Unfortunately, due to the ewes being lambed in both August 2018 and May 2019 and achieving 110% lambs for each lambing, fleeces weights were on average 5-10% lower. Overall, howwever, brilliant results from these high performing ewes. The timing of our shearing also meant the wool clip was free of seed. Charmac merino sheep are really proving their worth as both meat & wool producers. Ram and ewe enquiries are welcome.

02.01.2022 On Tuesday 3rd September Sharon brought a bus load of residents from Albury & District Private Nursing Home to see Rosemont Farm and the orphan lambs and the new calves and their mums. Meet Arnold who is the youngest of the 12 nursery lambs who is still being partly bottled fed. Leon Martin from Charmac Merino Stud gave the residents an informed talk on what Rosemont Farm involved and contained. The residents loved getting up close and personal to the animals. They didnt want to go home as they were having so much fun. Thank you for hosting us
