22.01.2022 Congratulations to every single one of these students!! A special shout out to my guys; Cody Ettingshausen, Mia Fernandez, Georgia Laga’aia, Tara Lide, Emma Snellgrove and Jamie Walsh. So proud of you guys!

20.01.2022 This is an awesome week of singing, development and performing! It to mention meeting like minded people and having an incredible time!!!

19.01.2022 Please sign this. The Arts continues to be ignored. Artists continue to feel undervalued. Music Education continues to be non-essential. Yet when this is all over, it will be the music and performing industries that will be called upon to lift spirits and bring people together. Please sign this.

18.01.2022 Morning Everyone!!!! Sending love. Thinking of you all. Sharing what I’ve got in the hope that it replaces a warm hug for now. (It’s not my most perfect singing but I don’t want to sensor it when at present, everything about life is imperfect). Much love xxx

17.01.2022 Over the next 3 days we are going to be celebrating 3 students, present and alumni, who are currently or about to be, performing in national and international tours. The common trait amongst these girls, is grit. It’s also discipline, focus and knowing that any minute they might not be working, someone else will be. So they choose to be the someone else. I can’t wait for you to meet them here and celebrate in their success.

16.01.2022 This is such a brilliant musical!!! Go for it!!!

15.01.2022 It’s been a long time since I’ve done one of these but I just wanted to send all my love and encouragement at this very challenging time. Sing for the love of it. Remind yourselves why you wanted to do this in the first place. Make it about the love. X

14.01.2022 So Day 1 of celebrating 3 of the alumni and current students in their upcoming and current productions. Anastasia Feneri will be playing the Princess in the Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk. It opens at the State Theatre, Sydney, on the 13th July. Congratulations Anastasia! Your work ethic, dedication and discipline shine through in every single lesson. ... Incredibly proud of you and all that you are achieving.

13.01.2022 If you’re looking for examples on Diction, Economic breathing , vocal stamina, safe belt, and mastering vocal aesthetics whilst providing a great sound...... watch Hamilton.

13.01.2022 It’s Day 3! It’s time to celebrate Zoe Ioannou!! Zoe is currently touring Australia and New Zealand in West Side Story as Rosalia and the alternate Maria. ... Zoe is the epitome of a hard and dedicated performer. Like Emily and Anastasia, who we have celebrated these past 2 days, Zoe has always shown incredible respect and discipline in her study of the voice and performance. Zoe never tired of working phrase by phrase, slowly and methodically and was always focused on not only the end goal but the steps needed to get there with each and every piece. Congratulations Zoë on this incredible tour, on the successes that have come before and the many that are sure to come after!

11.01.2022 Whilst a stunning voice is wonderful, connecting with your audience through your eyes is imperative. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that singing with your eyes closed shows emotion. What it actually does, if they are shut for too long, is keeps your audience at bay and at a distance. You want to invite them in. To be with you. Part of you.

08.01.2022 This is absolutely wonderful. Thanks for sharing Emily Thompson!

06.01.2022 Huge Congratulations to all the students who will be performing as Featured Artists in this years Schools Spectacular. Incredibly proud of the students from the studio and looking forward to working with all these talented artists in the months to come!!

06.01.2022 So many beautiful people made comments but what I read and heard more than anything was how much everyone is so uncertain, lost and challenged in so many ways by all this at the moment. If yesterday’s song put a smile on your face, then I thought I’d try and put another one on there today. I really need to work on that camera angle!! So unforgiving!!! Hahaha But right now..... doesn’t really matter does it!!! Love to you all xxx

05.01.2022 Well..... now that I’m in the half time break between Exam week 1 & 2.... and have been given an inadvertent reminder by my lovely Jennifer Turnbull Voice Studio of the other amazing happenings this week, a BIG Congratulations to Jamie Walsh, Tara Lide, Cody Ettingshausen, Mia Fernandez and Emma Snellgrove for being selected as Featured Artists for Schools Spec 2019. To my other students who made it to the Final Rounds, a big Congrats to you too!! I am super proud of you all!...!! It’s such a competitive environment with 600 + initial auditions ending in a Featured Artist and Backing Vocalist cast of approximately 45 from across the State!! Keep backing yourselves, keep stepping into the arena (if you want to know more about that..... pop on Netflix and watch A Call to Courage.... might be the most important 1 1/2 hours you’ll ever watch). Keep surging forward. See more

04.01.2022 Something I’ve been working on with The Arts Unit. This initiative was and continues to be about reaching out creatively to NSW Public School students and having a singing together. Thanks for having me in your schools and homes.

03.01.2022 Proud. Proud. Proud. Emily Thompson you are everything a performer should be and more. The stage loves you. You belong up there. My heart is bursting right now. Congratulations sweetheart!!!

02.01.2022 Well it’s not perfect but it’s sent with love and a whole lot of Hang in There xxx

01.01.2022 Day 2 of celebrating the wonderful achievements of three incredible girls. Emily Thompson has recently been cast as ‘Skyla’ in the National tour of Bring it On. The Musical Emily’s talent was always obvious from the moment she came to the studio. What became obvious during her first lesson and ALL the subsequent ones thereafter, was her sheer determination and discipline. Her willingness to learn, to get things wrong and to never let that beat her. Her love of learning wa...s always so evident. Yep, like 99.99% of performers, she has trodden through some tough, muddy waters, but her inner grit has kept her going. Her eyes always fixed firmly on her goals, all the while remaining humble and kind. To say I am proud is a wild understatement. Today we celebrate you Emily and wish you all the very best in Bring it On
