16.01.2022 One of life’s true gentlemen would be something that was said often about Buster Ryan. Other people would tell of long conversations over a beer or a coffee,... and how he could talk the leg off an iron pot. The most common thing said about Buster and Sue would be what a great couple and how nice they were. We first met them with their Yanco Lions Club when they helped cater for our Fathers Day Hay Run at Narrandera in 2018 and they’ve been volunteering for us since Fathers Day last year for both drought and fires across 3 states. The end of next week would have been their fifth hay run for us. They were both so looking forward to it. Tragically it was not to be. Buster passed away as result of injuries sustained in a workplace accident on Tuesday this week. We’re now working with Sue and his mates on how to honour Buster on his last hay run. At this stage our route will be up the highway via Naranderra from Jerilderie on the morning of Saturday 24th. and then past the Yanco Lions shed and through his home town of Leeton back to Griffith and then our planned destination for Saturday night at Cobar. Sue would welcome any of Busters friends and family to join us in this tribute at any stage. More details to come via this page and our website. https://www.needforfeed.org/hay-run.html Thanks everyone from the Need for Feed Committee
