23.01.2022 We have been celebrating NAIDOC week this week. The students took part in an incursion provided by Troy and Tim Kelly a didgeridoo player and storyteller. They also performed a local Aboriginal dance and the students enjoyed interacting with them and listening to their cultural stories.

18.01.2022 Happy Fry-day This Friday we will be staying the sunny side up by having fried eggs at Breakfast club. So don't be such a chicken, let's hatch a plan and see how many students can come. It will be an EGG-ceptional breakfast.

18.01.2022 Have you seen our new look garden at the entry of the Administration building. We have planted many assorted Kangaroo Paws and are waiting for the Bower of Beauty Wattle to grow bigger in the nursery. A big thank you to Mr Mike for all your hard work, we have had so many lovely comments.

17.01.2022 Our staff and students are all looking forward to our faction carnival on Thursday. The weather forecast is very warm and windy so hats, sunscreen and water bottles are essential. All classrooms now have sunscreen dispensers so the students can apply it in the morning at recess and lunch when they return to their classrooms. If your child requires special sunscreen please can you ensure they have it with them in the morning.

15.01.2022 A big thank you to the Rockingham Fire Brigade for visiting our Year 3 students on Wednesday. They presented the Department of Fire and Emergency Services Home Fire Program. The students enjoyed a one hour session with topics that included: The role of a firefighter, how to prevent or stop a fire emergency from happening, how to respond to a beeping smoke alarm, calling emergency services, crawling low under smoke and having a home fire escape plan. The students got to interact with the fire fighters and had a tour of the fire engine. We had many very excited students who loved turning on the big fire hose. Thanks again to Dave, Tony, Trent, Mick and Grant. We think you are all superstars.

12.01.2022 A very big THANK YOU to everyone that has supported the Year 6 End of Year celebration fundraisers this week! So far from the Free Dress Day and the after school Fairy Floss sales we have raised $754. The fairy floss sales was a MASSIVE success and we thank you for your patience as it was a VERY LONG line. ... Dont forget next Thursday at lunchtime we will be selling icy poles for $1 outside the library.

11.01.2022 All our students looked great dressed in yellow for R U OK? Day. Students will be doing activities in their classrooms during the day.

10.01.2022 Our EGG Station was EGG-ceptional. Thank you so much to the Rockingham Lions club for buying the frying pan and to our wonderful Mrs Wiseman for donating the EGGS. The students had so many EGG yolks it was a crack up!! We SHELL see if it is as sEGG-cessful next week.

10.01.2022 Did you know that the Rockingham Lions Club has been serving the community since 1967? They are a volunteer organisation comprised of ordinary people doing extraordinary things in Rockingham. Every Christmas Charthouse PS present the Rockingham Lions Club with a hamper which has been donated by our students. We would like to ask all families to bring a non perishable item to donate to this worthy cause. Donations can be brought up to the office or to the class room teacher. Thank for your support.

09.01.2022 Congratulations to the students who were selected by their classroom teacher for being brilliant. They are students who always strive to do their academic best and demonstrate our Charthouse STARS expectations. To celebrate their positive attitude and success at school they were invited to attend a Brilliant Kids Morning Tea this morning. They all came together and had morning tea with Mrs Wescott and Mr Hare in recognition of their efforts this term. All food was provided by our wonderful P&C and was the opportunity to share ideas of how to make our school even better. Thanks very much to Stacey, Helen, Michael, Melissa and Cassi for making it a special day.

07.01.2022 I hope no one wanted to buy any sand toys in Rockingham today!! Last Friday, at our Brilliant Kids Morning Tea, the Year 1 and Year 2 students told Mrs Wescott that they'd like buckets and spades to play with. After a big shopping spree, the students and Mrs Wescott had lots of fun playing with the new toys.

07.01.2022 Last week we celebrated the magnificent work of the Education Assistants at Charthouse. Each day they were surprised with little gifts, and AVID celebrations and cheers. This culminated on Friday with cupcakes filled full of appreciation for everything they do. Don't they look delicious!

05.01.2022 On Wednesday 4th November, Charthouse took part in the RASSA Athletics Carnival. The whole team put in a fantastic effort, coming 3rd overall. All schools displayed great sportsmanship throughout the day. Congratulations to Amelia, Paul, Sunmer, Amber, Isaiah and Nikau for their individual trophies. Thank you to the parents for helping.

04.01.2022 Rockingham Police came to our school last week to speak with our Year 5/6 students about the legalities of what is posted onto social media. They also discussed on line safety and what sort of personal information becomes available to inappropriate people when students post videos and other content to YouTube, Instagram and other sharing services such as TikTok.

04.01.2022 Our Year 6 students will be attending Transition Day at Safety Bay High School tomorrow. Students must make their own way to and from the school. We hope you all have a great time.

03.01.2022 Thank you to the students who supported our fundraiser for the Year 6 celebrations by coming to school in their free dress. It was lovely to see so much colour and smiling faces. We are looking forward to selling Fairy Floss after school today outside the Library.

03.01.2022 Recently, we have been lucky enough to receive a donation of $500 from the Rockingham Lions Club. This money will go towards fruit trees for our sustainability garden and electric fry pans for breakfast club. Thank you to Colin and Christine who came to present the cheque.
