25.01.2022 Step 1). Apply these percentages to your current 1RM's for any compound lift. Step 2). Use the percentages during training. Step 3). Increase Total Workout Volume over time. (More reps, more sets or more weight) ... Step 4). Repeat



22.01.2022 SUPPLEMENTS I had a client ask if they should be taking supplements because someone they knew was taking them and I came up with a genius analogy to describe my thoughts on supps. Think of your body as a car. Supplements are the extras you can add to your car in the hope that it will improve performance. Lets say new "sports tyres". ... You can add these to your car as you can add supplements to your diet. But if you're buying the dirtiest fuel and running your car off that (poor nutrition) you can't expect your car to perform at 100%, even with new tyres. However, run your car (your body) off the best and cleanest fuel you can and then add the new tyres and watch how well you perform!

19.01.2022 Can't stress enough the importance of warming up correctly! I too used to neglect my warm up and it left me with tight hips, to the point that I couldn't squat pain free. Here's a quick snippet of today's warm up before squats and leg accessory. If you haven't already, please start incorporating a specific warm up to your program! Reduce pain, increase mobility and in turn increase strength!

Brandon with an impressive 15kg jump on his deadlift 3RM and Luis with a HUGE 30kg improvement! They both went on to add 7.5kgs to their bench press! 06.01.2022 COMMON FITNESS MYTHS TO AVOID CARDIO IS ESSENTIAL FOR FAT LOSS - Cardio is only a tool that can be used to assist in fat loss to help create a calorie deficit. If you don't enjoy it there's no need to force yourself to do it. Try instead strength training or HIIT circuits. ... SPOT FAT REDUCTION - Unfortunately we don't get to choose where we lose fat from our body does that. Just make sure you're in a calorie deficit for long enough to lose body fat, even from "stubborn areas" FAT TURNS INTO MUSCLE - I too used to believe that fat gets converted into muscle however, they are completely different types of tissue and this is just not the case. FAT LOSS SHAKES AND SUPPLEMENTS - Fat loss comes down to a calorie deficit, no supplement can reverse the amount of calories you consume. Most shakes will even have calories that could be putting you out of a deficit and gaving the reverse effect

02.01.2022 DO I NEED TO BUY PROTEIN POWDER TO BUILD MUSCLE??? I too used to think that I needed to knock down a protein shake after my gym session to help grow and repair the muscle but the truth is PROTEIN POWDER is not essential but PROTEIN is!! I would only recommend buying protein powder to someone who struggled to get their daily protein requirements (about 1.2g-1.5g per kg of body mass) from whole foods. Such as:... Lean meats Eggs Almonds Yoghurts and cottage cheese Lentils
