16.01.2022 To finish off this week of training, why not show some squats.... Rounding off with my own 3x8 at 140kg... Felt heavier than I would of liked but getting back up there... Just remember guys when squatting, make sure the bar is tight on the back, feet are planted, keep that core tight and back strong, drive through the heels and make sure those knees stay out over the feet... 12.01.2022 Planking..... how does this help, and why should I do it? Strengthening your core improves your posture and balance. The abdominal muscles are why you can stand on one leg without swaying, or can sit at a desk all day without slouching or having a sore back. They create a balanced trunk and hold you balanced.... Sit-ups, crunches and abdominal contractions are great but can put a lot of strain on your lower back leading to pain in the back. By planking you will build the muscles in your core, but not only that, you also build muscles in your shoulders, hamstrings and calves. All of these things lead to a better, toned more muscular physique, with a more sculpted buttocks, stronger legs and flatter stronger belly/core.. So the next time you are working out and thinking of how to finish the session drop down and plank, 30 secs, 1 minute, more..... increase it each time and in no time at all you’ll be a plank ace... 03.01.2022 Just reading up on some training ideas and ideals and came across this little Gem.... thanks Testosterone Nation The Farmers Walk.... So true, that everyone thinks that long complicated new exercises are the key to success, but you know sometimes simple is better.... Lifting and moving heavy weights, be it dumbbells, barbells, plates, kettlebell etc will not only aid your strength by keeping muscles under tension, but will also aid in your grip and help the cardiovascular... system.... not to mention the carry over to everyday life bringing in the shopping, carrying the kiddos or just moving the furniture..
