24.01.2022 Training gives us all an outlet. It provides an opportunity to nourish thoughts. We process our worries and expel our positivity. It can give us direction on days we feel most lost. If you pay attention it can also devise plans for our biggest goals in life. There is no argument. Exercise brings out in the best in everyone. Everyone is always happier, positive and energised after exercising.... #LoveMondays #LoveExercising #OnlyYouCanDecide

23.01.2022 Stand up against the wall- not behind it. I love teaching. I ride my class with passion, happiness and positive energy that I wish everyone is able to catch and absorb. I hope they leave carrying onto this for the rest of their day until they need to come back and be topped up again.

23.01.2022 How many? A self reflection.... Do you know how many calories you eat per day? Do you know how many you ‘actually’ need before you even put your shoes on each day?... Do you know how many calories you burn off when you train? Do you know if you’re actually calorie deficient? Do you know how many stresses your body is carrying and trying to work through? ie- injuries, over training, lack of sleep, stress, hormones. Your body is not magic. Every day, it relies on you to know what you’re providing it and how you’re choosing to treat it. It will perform amazingly when you treat it like your prized possession, until then, it won’t.

19.01.2022 Weekdays are for nourishing, weekends are for indulging. In this beauty we’ve got spinach leaves, kale, cucumber, broccolini, capsicum, avocado, salad onion, cherry tomatoes, avocado, crumbled feta, roasted pumpkin and beetroot. Mix through with a small amount of creamy dressing (like a tablespoon because the avocado and feta blend as well) and you have a meal that is truly delicious, even on its own. This will serve alongside a 200g piece of lean meat. ... There is plenty left for the week and all I have to do is apply the dressing each time so it stays fresh.

19.01.2022 Wow, this was a moment I have been waiting for (for like weeks). That moment was seeing Kate teach again. Needless to say she nailed it. It was seriously like she never went MIA. It’s been a long road but finally the day has come. I can’t imagine how hard it has been for Kate seeing the group fitness instructors take the stage without her. So today my heart is full of happiness- for Kate and myself. Her presence on stage is not only contagious for our members but anyone th...at teaches beside her. She just shines a light that radiates through us all . I’m so excited to share more tracks, more jokes, more slip ups, more ugly dance moves, more randomness and more matching outfits with you my girl. 18.01.2022 Is it ok to admit that I am not a new year resolution kind of girl? I think it’s because I have failed more times than I have tried. Last year was a whirlwind for us all and maybe it's only going to continue. It was to date was my most exhausting year of all, emotionally over physically. There were lessons out there for us all. The one lesson I learnt is about my own self behaviours. I feel I now have valuable tools to help me in this year and beyond. I learnt that be...ing a huge extrovert, I am also (just as much) an introvert. In times of rest or emotion, I like and need my own space: with my family, my dogs, my wine, food and outdoor adventures. After this 2 week rest I am now ready. Ready to take on another year of perhaps the unknowns and surprises but in the end I am (and always) committed. Now, instead of my resolutions, I share with you our family’s jar of goals. Goals to make us better and improved version of ourselves. The pieces of paper that aren’t in the jar are old goals, either achieved, not applicable, or down right outrageous, but it keeps us real and accountable to whatever comes our way. I will achieve so much this year and tomorrow officially marks Day 1 of the reality of those dreams coming true. Happy New Year to all. 18.01.2022 Meal combining... It’s 11am and have just come home from work and a 700 calorie workout. I’m starving. I have a hair appointment at lunch so I’m combining my brunch and snack together. Eggs on toast with avo plus a banana/protein/greens smoothie. I will be full and satisfied until around 2/3pm when I eat again. So many nutrients to help restore and replenish my body. My tip: Eating in the later arvo can be an important tool to successful long term weight loss. It will help yo...u not snack before dinner as this is where a lot of people lose control. The wine, cheese, dips and crackers of an afternoon can lead to 700-800 calories. Try for a handful of nuts, low fat yoghurt and a piece of fruit around 3.30pm and see how little you need to eat for dinner The key is to be prepared, accepting you are going to get hungry and know what you are going to eat.

12.01.2022 Almost to date, 2 years ago 88 ladies embarked on a 10 Week fitness journey with me and now it’s time to do it again- only this time with nutrition! You will doing anything from running, HIIT, upper body workouts, booty & glute work, sculpting shoulders & arms and lots of abs! This is your perfect opportunity to shed kgs, time up, get super fit, make friends and most of all become super, super happy from the inside out. ... The meal plans are not super strict. We work hard, become accountable, strive for success and enjoy some play in between. It’s how I’ve managed to keep my weight off for over 10 years and there are definitely no lucky genes in my body. 11.01.2022 Honestly? I’m super excited with a touch of nerves. I have been wanting to do this for a very long time- as in years. I wanted to write a book to help people and their relationship with food. ... Food is not the enemy, yet we’re led to believe it is. The last time I was on a diet was when I tried body sculpting 4 years ago. Before that, it was 18 years ago, except, that wasn’t a diet- I just didn’t eat, or if I did, I purged it back up. I will never, ever go back there again. I was sad, miserable and angry at myself ALL OF THE TIME. Instead I will continue to trust the process of training hard, resting well, nourishing my body (most of the time) and knowing what room is left for indulgences. .........Now my next chapter begins where I help others achieve the same freedom. This 8 week meal plan will not simplify what we eat but how we choose to eat forever! I just know the transformations are going to be amazing - both physically and mentally and that excites me very much. This post is for all of the wonderful people who are about to embark on their 8 week journey. I really hope you love your book

11.01.2022 Why I hate 1200 calories so dang much! One of the biggest myths that grind my gears is people being told that they need to eat 1200 calories each day to lose weight. This mass message has been brainwashing people for years. My 73 year old sedentary father couldn’t even survive on that little calories, let alone active adults. It makes sense to think that by eating minimal calories as possible will speed up the weight loss process, but, long term it’s probably more counterprod...uctive. Sure, you can lose weight eating this fewer calories but soon your body will start to lose its momentum & powers to keep burning energy. Your metabolism will slow, in some cases, stop. There is simply no where for your body to go from here. You have already reduced calories to below minimum so decreasing further is just not possible. Unfortunately it's either fail or frail. As a general rule, people need 1400 calories per day to stay healthy. The super active and nursing mums will need even more. Eating less than 1200 calories per day might be hurting your body. The goal should be to consume adequate calories which nourish your bodies and minds providing energy and nutrients everywhere needed. Here’s the thing; what happens when we don’t put fuel in our car? It stops right? The engine will not work. It can’t work without fuel. Our engines are exactly the same, except our engines do a whole lot more than just drive around. We expect so much from our bodies yet we don’t give it the respect it deserves. We're born with it, it has to serve us our whole life- we don’t get to swap it half way through. Our bodies need energy- it’s as simple as that- we don’t get to fill up at a bowser once a week. It’s up to us on how we choose to nurture it. So please don’t be fooled by the 1200 myth. Everyone is different, everyone is unique. Give your body a chance to really show its potential. 10.01.2022 Mangoes are back in season Who likes fruit in their salad? I actually love it . Friday arvo the kids have their choice of meal (9/10 it’s Maccas) so tonight I whipped up a super quick salad for the hubby and I. ... Here we have a mango, walnut, avo and feta salad with caramelised balsamic dressing to sit alongside a lean piece of steak and a glass of red. Happy body, happy mind, happy Friday

08.01.2022 Today was a great day. I could feel the excitement around everyone receiving their books. The idea was to create a best friend in a book- taking the best bits of a journal, guide and cheat sheet and making it into something simple and sweet. Hopefully I’ve done just that. It’s different, it’s real and it’s forever.

02.01.2022 Who loves Thursdays? It would have to be my favourite day of the week- mentally. It’s the anticipation of the weekend being near us plus the reflection of a big successful week before it. Since Covid shutdown, we have all literally hit the road running. I am teaching more than ever, training clients more than ever and enjoying being in the club more than ever. Thursday arvos are full of wonderful clients, teaching Sprint and finishing by jumping in to teach Bodyattack with ...my mate Pete Wand from Assume It's Possible. I love the feeling of driving home and thinking Wow! What a day! What a week!

01.01.2022 Today’s date is 22-09-20. Ironically on the 22-03-20 we were told through a ScoMo press conference that we were closing the gym by 12 noon the next day. The day before marked the last time we all taught together whilst releasing BA108. This release doesn’t have a number. It is called United and for me it’s exactly that. We are again re-connected to our members, each other, group fitness, our gym and our energies. With patience, passion, hard work and hope we are again UNIT...ED. We are back and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you to my amigos @katey_1eighty @assumeitspossible for a cracking good time and workout with our members
