25.01.2022 Another change over switch installed for a lovely couple in Cannonvale. After contacting us during the week, we were able to install a change over switch setup at their house that Saturday. While completing the installation I noticed that the sizing of some of the RCBO's didn't appear correct for the associated wiring. On further investigation I found that the labelling on the board didnt match the assigned RCBO's. After completing the installtion we worked through each circuit and re-labelled the board correctly. The installion was then tested with the customers generator and a full run down was given on how to operate the system if power is lost. A great family and another satisfied customer.

23.01.2022 Well where to begin with this one! We had a call from this customer who told us that the first time he tried to use his change over switch during the last black outs nothing happened. He was able to prove that his generator was working correctly and there was nothing wrong with his lead. On inspection we commenced testing his installation and found that the active wire at the back of the generator supply outlet had not been stripped back and the screw was essentially screwe...d down onto the insulation so no contact was being made. Hence it was never going to work. Then looking at the change over switch itself the wiring was incorrect and was bypassing back to the main switch. A highly dangerous situation! Ergon seals where also broken and had not been reported. After notify the owner of what was found, the installion was correctly wired and fully tested and commissioned with the customers supplied generator. This highlights the importance of correct testing and commissioning of all installations, and having a reputable electrical contractor complete the work Another happy customer!

This customer and I go way back to when we were working together in the good old days at the Mines He asked for a generator change over switch to be installed at his place so he didnt have to run leads everywhere in case of a power outage. Also, as he works away, this makes it simply for his partner to have access to back up power as its simply just a matter of flicking a switch. Was awesome to catch with him and hear some great stories from the... past. Another top bloke and great client to work with.

14.01.2022 What an absolute legend this customer is! One of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever met. This customer was absolutely fed up with the constant power outages in Airlie Beach and sitting in the dark, so asked us if we could install a generator change over switch at his place. Not the easiest of jobs as there is no ceiling space and the external walls are pre fabbed concrete 300mm wide, but we were able to sort it out. It was a real blast from the past as I wired a lot of these houses back in 2008! We also changed out a faulty safety switch that wasnt operating. Another fantastic job with great clients. When your working with great customers time flies and I really enjoy the work that I do.

11.01.2022 This customer called us as he had a change over switch previously installed but his generator constantly tripped and had never been able to supply back up power to his home. After contacting us we were able to help out the following day. We made correct modifications to the generator so it could supply power and re-wired the change over switch as wiring previously installed was undersized. Now his generator is able to power his whole house without the nuisance tripping. Top bloke and one happy customer!
