16.01.2022 Help us help you! We are getting lots of calls and requests for roaming animals and our staff is stretched to their limits. We need to work together to ensure w...e are being efficient and effective with our time and achieving the right outcomes. We just can’t afford to spend hours chasing sightings around the region. Here are a few simple suggestions you can follow to help us help you Try to find out who owns the animal. Talk to your neighbours and post pictures and information on social media. Let the owners know their animal is roaming and ask them to contain it within their property. If you can’t find the owner, restrain the animal if it is safe to do so. Call us and we’ll come and collect it. If you can’t restrain the animal and it is roaming regularly, borrow or buy a trap and let us know when it is caught. We have a limited number of traps with a very long waiting list so borrowing or purchasing is a better option.
