21.01.2022 Over the last few days we’ve been getting motivated to start up again after we took a nice little break over Christmas and New Years. Baxter doing very well today in the wind with the tarp for desensitisation and then we had a play at positioning well next to the mounting block. Really felt today that he was starting to see me more as a friend than a nuisance

18.01.2022 Regardless of whether theyre 12hh or 17hh some of them just like to test us Dazi is responding much better to the starting process now she gets to do it with a buddy instead of just me I would rather a happier pony having good experiences than pushing her to fit the usual mould. Some footage from today. Thank you so much Teagan and Kimberley for making yourselves available to help me out in these cases She is booked to have some bodywork next week as we feel she is a bit stiff with her flexion, so focusing on giving her more quality, positive experiences more so than pushing for the next step.

13.01.2022 Hi everyone Still haven’t found a successful foster mother yet. If anyone knows of any mares who have just been weaned taht would be amazing. Probably hard to ...find but I think it’s the only way the mate is going to accept him. Or if this all fails has anyone got a companion pony that has been with orphan foals that can teach him the ropes. Thank you all so much for all the shares hoping we can find him a new mum/friend soon. See more

04.01.2022 Exploring the arena on the long reins today with Legsy
04.01.2022 Monty today up learning more about being calm in different spaces, pretty windy spooky day but happy with how he finished up I think learning to climb over things is great for their confidence.
03.01.2022 The good ones take time. Watch quietly from the sidelines as those who try to shortcut with bridles, bits and gadgets become unstuck at the first sign of a chal...lenge. Get used to sitting with your head in your hands having to take deep breaths or halting in the middle of the arena to stare at the ceiling for fear that frustration will take the reins and undo everything youve worked on. Allow him to question, allow him to protest. You have to be in this together, it has to be a partnership not a dictatorship so he has to know that he has a say and that you are listening. Mutual understanding and respect should be the foundations on which you build. Be prepared to taste your arena surface. Dont allow others to convince you a more experienced jumper would suit you better or he might never come right. Trust your gut. You saw something in him, so work you ass off to prove it. Do not be swayed by trainers encouraging you to just try the draw reins or the bigger bit. Dont succumb to the pressure to teach him whose boss. When the clock is ticking, and the stride just isnt there you have to trust each other, that isnt going to come from force. Give this horse your heart, Im not saying he wont break it because he will, but when the day comes that he accepts you into his, he really will go to the ends of the earth for you. But until then, have tissues and a playlist of sad songs at the ready. And just when you think you cant take one more ride, when you feel like youve given every part of yourself to this and you cant physically, mentally or emotionally manage anymore. Keep going. Nobody said this was going to be easy...but it might just be worth it, because the most valuable thing you can give a horse is time... ...and the good ones take time.
03.01.2022 As I sit at work drinking my 3rd coffee (Ive been up since 4am so dont judge me), I am tired and sore but have a smile on my face as I am so thrilled with how the event unfolded yesterday!

03.01.2022 Lovely pony ~13.2h well handled, professionally started 5yo mare. Loves the beach, easy to take out, been to PC a couple of times. Needs a keen young rider to l...ove her and have fun. She is a sweet pony with no vices, experienced home wanted to produce her into a great all rounder or show pony. Lovely movement and pretty face, friendly and lovable. Asking 4000 Cheap at 1.5k to breed and raise a pony correctly for 5 years and $2.5k spent on starting with Chatahn Estate. We will be fussy on home.

02.01.2022 We have been lucky enough to have seen some really good frozen semen under the microscope recently here at the Valley - something that certainly makes Dr Paula ...smile when she has a frozen semen breed to do! The video below is from an insemination done yesterday, and is a great example of fantastic frozen semen. This semen was imported from Sweden by Torquata Arabians, and is from the very handsome Arab stallion ‘Magic Magnifique’, so contact Jen or Kat Scott if you are keen to breed yourself a champion
01.01.2022 Sherlock showing some moments of improvement today after his massage on Friday poor boy had a bit of a headache with some issues going on in his poll causing tension throughout his body so we are trying a bit of compression around his head to see if that helps.
