21.01.2022 Romeo and Juliet are back in rehearsal!! Coming to the Jetty Theatre this October.

21.01.2022 Good afternoon theatre friends Regretfully, we have one more character to recast in order to move forward with our production of Romeo and Juliet. LORD CAPULET, male, 35+... The Patriarch of the Capulet family Important, secondary character. Requires a performer with acting ability and experience with Shakespeare. Performance dates are 16th - 25th October. 19.01.2022 ROMEO AND JULIET RECASTING Romeo and Juliet is finally going ahead!! However, due to time changes and previous commitments, some of our cast are not available to continue with us and regretfully will need to be replaced.... Characters as follows: 1. FRIAR LAWRENCE, male, 35+ Important, secondary character. Requires a performer with acting ability. 2. BALTHAZAR, male/female, young 18-25 Romeo's Valet. Not the biggest role, but important. 3. ENSEMBLE Capulet's cousin / Paris' page 2 speaking parts and time on stage. Good part for a novice to Shakespeare. Performance dates are 16th - 25th October. 08.01.2022 CHATS has made the very difficult decision to cancel our upcoming production of Romeo & Juliet due to cast members having to drop out for many diverse reasons. Holding a community theatre production in rehearsal for over six months is a huge ask for everyone involved. In that time many things change for everyone, and we were probably overly optimistic in attempting to keep this show going over such an extended period. Everyone is deeply disappointed that we weren't able to get the show to the stage. If you have tickets for the show, please contact the Jetty Theatre for a full refund. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at our future productions.
