Across the three services we are celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Thank you to Richard, of Indigenous Childcare Shows who visited us teaching us more about Torres Strait Islander culture through stories, pictures and artefacts.

15.01.2022 Our Kindy Children love the You can do it program and here with the support from Connie Confidence they tackled the new experience of creating self portraits. They had the opportunity to look in the mirror to take note of the shape of their head, position of facial features and their skin colour. They were given constant support reminding them to think positively and to give it a go! We were so IMMENSELY proud of all our Kindy children today and wanted to share some of their wonderful work with you!

At Chatterbox we advocate for the importance of early learning through everything we do and wed like to take this opportunity to recognise the pivotal role our wonderful educators play in creating an environment where our children are able to learn, laugh, play and grow.

The lesson plans are tailored to each age group to ensure that the children have fun while learning. Stress Down Day is a great initiative designed to reduce stress and promote happiness and raises awareness for Lifeline Australia. The children and Educators were excited to be a part of such an important day and the drizzly weather only added to the thrill of being rugged up in our cozy Winter PJs.

10.01.2022 Playing outdoors is wonderful exercise for children that promotes well-being and wholesome physical development. Children are naturally drawn to active play and it is vital for all childrens development, it allows them to explore their environment, and develops muscle strength and coordination, and gain self-confidence.

10.01.2022 Some of the children have been busy planting a herb garden. They planted basil, parsley, lemon balm and mint. They enjoyed filling the pots with soil and adding some worms castings and worm juice to make them grow. Together they looked at the roots and how they soak up the nutrients and water to help grow the plants. What can we use our herbs for they were asked? Garlic bread has parsley, Ive had mint in my fruit juice" and basil on pizza is delicious" were some of the many comments. So many yummy and useful ways to use herbs.
