21.01.2022 Our Jnr Girlfriends group (Primary School) on a Tuesday is just gorgeous. We have implemented a ‘buddy’ system where our older girls are paired with our little preps and grade ones. Tonight, the older girls helped to lead a discussion on the rules not only in our Chatterbox classroom but at school. So lovely to watch! On a Wednesday Little Girlfriends and Little Mates will run from 1pm - 2pm, followed by a break and then Art Therapy for 4 year old Kinder kids will run from 2.30 - 3.30pm. ... Many of our staff have 1 to 2 other workplaces and we are more than happy to even have a one day a week ... Please note: It states Part Time, However we are more than happy to discuss full time, casual, part-time arrangements. Openings Paediatric occupational therapist x 2 Paediatric speech pathologist x2 Tutors who are able to work with children with additional needs and attending a mainstream school. We are looking for a speech pathologist or a occupational therapist who also has a background in early childhood education to come and join our team for our pre-prep program prepare. We have some exciting opportunities to expand this program and we would love some passionate therapists join this journey! 14.01.2022 Just wanting to give a shout out to all of those people you have been specifically heartbroken affected by this lockdown . Especially those of you that had precious life events (weddings, engagements, funerals, milestone birthdays, marriage proposals (especially as it is valentine's day) etc. Also businesses in the hospitality industry - party shops, event/restaurants florists who would have lost so much money ordering flowers for not just events but to have in their stor...es for valentines day, cake makers who have spend hours and hours making cakes for people's special events. I am sure there are so many more I have not mentioned . So many of these are small businesses that have already lost so much money last year due to COVID lockdowns. I hope this is a reminder for us all, on how crucial it is for everyone to follow the rules - get tested, wear a mask and stay home. My thoughts go out to all of you doing it tough today. Mel x

13.01.2022 Hi Chatterbox Families, As many of you will now be aware, we have been given the announcement that a State Wide, Stage 4 Lock Down will commence in Victoria from midnight tonight - next Wednesday the 17th of Feb. **What does this mean if my child has an individual therapy session booked in on either the 15th, 16th or 17th of Feb? **... Your Therapist will be in touch either by phone or email to organise an online session via ZOOM **What does this mean if my child has group?** If your child is in PREPARE on MONDAYS OR TUESDAYS - your teacher will be in contact with you in order to offer you a one hour individual session on either Monday the 15th or Tuesday the 16th Feb.. If your child is in Jnr GIRLFRIENDS or Jnr Mates on TUESDAYS - there will be no class next Tuesday (16th of Feb). Mel and Emma will try to organise a makeup class. Our team has LOTS of experience dealing with lockdowns and online therapy so please do not be concerned, you and your child will be looked after.
