We are aware that there have been waiting times as a result and we hate disappointing you guys . Our management, call centre and drivers are doing everything possible to reduce waiting times and get you where you need to be. We understand your frustration, but ask that you refrain from ringing the call centre multiple times in relation to your booking. ... In order to meet demand we REALLY need more drivers in our Checker Cabs . If you know anyone who needs a job, PLEASE, PLEASE send them our way. Taxi driving is a good job. You are your own boss, you can work flexible hours, your vehicle is provided (with state of the art GPS tracking and cameras for your safety) and there is lots of work. All taxi drivers require: an Open Qld Licence (and this have been held for at least one year) clean criminal history medical from a GP BHTX Driver Authority issued by the Department of Transport You will recover the cost of obtaining a DA within a few shifts We will train you and have you on the road and earning money as soon as your DA is issued.
