23.01.2022 More progress made on the BMW 120i engine replacement job today. It really was a "GOOD FRIDAY " Ready to clean and check everything and start the refitting process Hope everyone has a lovely long weekend and keeps safe !!

20.01.2022 Heres afew pictures of the R33 Skylines rear subframe from today. When we do jobs like these here at Checkmate, we allways start by do a proper clean and check over. Then do the strip down. We're doing a complete upgraded suspension bush kit and diff seals on this one here.

18.01.2022 Stripped down, cleaned up, resealed and replaced the the headlining on this Mercedes Sl500 R129 hard top. We don't do short cuts, we do perfection, seeing our customers light up with joy and giving them that satisfaction is the reason Checkmate Automotive is here!! We love seeing people smile and relaxed knowing it's done right, exactly what they asked for and know what the work will cost them before we do it so they don't get a narsty/unexpected invoice. If you don't feel happy with your mechanic, understand or feel your getting what your paying for or having endless problems then we suggested you should try somewhere else. It's easy to keep going back somewhere you've been afew times but if your not comfortable then it's time to try someone else.

17.01.2022 We have been super busy and had some big jobs on the go this week!!! BMW e70 x5 sunroof leaking badly into the car, removed the sunroof cassete, unblocked all the water drain pipes and water channels. Cleaned and regressed all the cables and sliders. Toyota Hilux gearbox change due to the original gearbox loosing 3rd nd 4th gears. We'll stay open and keep working till we get told to stop, to make sure our customers have a reliable vehicle and have one less thing to have to worry about in this awful/stressful time. Stay positive, stay safe and follow the advice we've all been given.

12.01.2022 Still opening and turning those spanners !! From Engine rebuilds, timing belts, servicing, valve stem seals, headlight restoration to rear diff replacements.... we've been getting it DONE.

11.01.2022 Don't Panic guys.... We're still BMW at heart But truly have a passion for everything and anything automotive!! This week's been very JDM Oreintated. Some lovely examples of some very iconic well loved cars. It's a privilege to be able to work on these cars and very lucky to have such great customers.

06.01.2022 Been a very busy day just before the long weekend. This little BMW 120I will be "Purrrrrrrring like a kitten" and give the customer joy and peace of mind knowing that CHECKMATE AUTOMOTIVE has done the work!!! Customer had just bought the car with bottom end issues, so we've checked and rebuilt another low km engine (they sourced) and turning a frown.... upside down !!

03.01.2022 Hello Everyone, sorry we've not posted anything lately. "ITS BEEN ALL GO" Here at CHECKMATE !!! BMW 120i Engine job all finished, VW R36 gearbox rear bearing and clutch pack replacement done and heaps over genral servicing in between Hope you all keeping safe and well.

It's been a very full on and busy couple of months here at C.M.A, apologies for the lack of cool car pictures to check out and look at.
