24.01.2022 We are changing track a little bit. Still breeding crossbred hens but after this next batch our backyard layers will be red isa brown types. Still breeding our Araucanas. However we have just purchased some RIW pullets. We look forward to breeding some lovely big white hens next season.

23.01.2022 In this heat wave think of your animals. Sometimes chooks are the last thought. If it's hot they need extra water. We put sprinklers over their pens. But extra water dishes are great too as they will stand in them to keep cool.

23.01.2022 Anyone chasing pullets? We have Xbreds available. All point of lay ( some have started) $20 each. There are some smaller bantam sized ones if anyone is chasing them. $15 Delivery available to both Roma or Mitchell. Pickups from the farm welcome.

17.01.2022 Hello chook lovers! wanting to wish you all a very happy new year. We have some young pullets that are a few months off selling and once the weather cools down we will be incubating again. Don't forget to make sure your chooks have extra water and shade in this heat!

11.01.2022 Remember in this continuing heat think of your chooks! Extra water dishes, letting you chooks out of their pen so they can find their own cool spots, spraying them with water or even using sprinklers are all ideas on how to keep them cool.

06.01.2022 Just a reminder- we are coming up to the start of Spring. As our busy season starts again so do your chooks with their laying. So don't forget to worm them if you haven't done so recently. The change of season is always a good reminder :)

03.01.2022 CheekyChooks have our first lot of RIR over either light Sussex or Rhode Island white pullets. Similar to ISA browns these hens are straight red. They have either started to lay or are very close as most have nice red combs. They are $22 each and I can deliver to either Roma or Mitchell.
