25.01.2022 Putting together an Aboriginal flag puzzle as part of International Worlds Day of Indigenous People

25.01.2022 Today for Science week, the children took part in a fun Sink or float gravity experiment! Before beginning this activity the concept was explained. If something stays on top of the water then it floats. Miss Zeinab held up, one item at the time, and asks the children if this item will sink or float. Miss Zeinab explained to the children that by guessing if an object will sink or float they are making a prediction. An object floats when the weight force on the object is balan...ced by the upward push of the water on the object. If the weight force down is larger than the upward push of the water on the object then the object will sink. If the reverse is true then the object will rise rising is the opposite of sinking. The children were so intrigued by this that they wanted to have a go. Each child had a go at taking part in this fun activity! See more

21.01.2022 For today’s indoor lesson, Miss Celine invites our munchkins in learning a simple numeracy and maths experience. Miss Celine sat down with the children individually and went through the work sheet explaining and showing the children how each of the numbers are added to equal to the numbers between 1-5. Using their fine motor skills the children would then write down the numbers in the answer boxes!

16.01.2022 Today the children took part in making cupcakes to raise money for the Daffodil Day Appeal. This appeal is the Cancer Council's most iconic and much-loved fundraising campaign. It is a day for Australians to give hope to those affected by all cancers by donating to support a cancer free future.

16.01.2022 National Child Protection Week is held each September to promote messages of child abuse prevention and child protection. Today the children participated in a feelings match game. Emotions play an important role in how we think and behave. The emotions we feel each day can compel us to take action and influence the decisions we make about our lives, both large and small so it is important to help children understand these thoughts and feelings.

15.01.2022 Today the children were learning about dental health and hygiene. In this activity there are two jars. One needs to be filled with teeth that have letters on them and the other needs teeth that have numbers on them.

This is the time when many Acacia species commonly called wattles in Australia, are in flower. 10.01.2022 Today’s calendar of events, our munchkins and staff supported jeans for Genes day! our day included painting pairs of jeans to support the cause, having a small parade indoors with music the children enjoy, but most importantly we had a group discussion as to why jeans for genes day is important, showing all the support for this cause. We will continue on with our support for jeans for genes day tomorrow with more activities! we encourage parents to dress the children in jeans for the day !
