25.01.2022 As we see an increased in the number of coronavirus cases in Australia, it is important that all of us at Cheeky Paws take measures to minimise risk to ourselves and the community. We recognise that the uncertainty of the current climate may be causing you great concern and we will be doing all we can to support you during these stressful times. At Cheeky Paws, effective immediately we are implementing the following policies & procedures to protect you and our community fro...m possible infection: Please ensure your dogs have a collar and a lead on when entering premises. This is always good practice, as we can walk dogs with their familiar collar and lead to settle them or from point A to B. Person on duty will use a disposable tissue to take lead from you and walk dog into salon. Person on duty is to practice social distancing when speaking to customers. To maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance from yourself to next person. (Taken from WHO website) Person on duty will collect payment, where monies will be placed directly in a holder by customer. Here is what you can do: Wash your hands thoroughly. Stay home if feeling unwell. Please try and give us as much notice as possible to fill your appointment slot. Here is what we can all do: Be kind, look out for each other and show compassion during this time. We are also actively getting updates from the Australian Government Department of Health to seek regular advice so we can prepare for any outcome as the situation evolves. At this point in time, there is no cause for alarm in Australia but it is appropriate and reasonable that we take sensible action in the interests of our community and the general public. Most times, you will need a comb or brush and a pair of scissors. You got those ? ... Yay! Well check out my first video - to do a quick trim on your dog's fringe. Yes, it is a little tricky but slowly, bit by bit, you can do it. Trim, trim, trim. Please feel free to ask any questions on facebook or you can private message me. 17.01.2022 Hi everyone, how did you go trimming your dog's fringe ? Thank you for sending in pictures, all of you did an awesome job. I love them all. Some are wriggly bums and some want to lie down to sleep. That's ok, we can work with them.... For the wriggly bums, may be try bringing them for a walk before your home maintenance session or a play of chase at home to tire them out. For those who like to lie down, allow them 1 minute lie down, followed by 2 minutes of grooming & repeat. After a few sessions, the time frames can be reduced and extended accordingly. Today, I have a little video on - trimming around the paws and tips on nail clipping. I have also attached a diagram more on the nails. Please message me if you have any questions. 11.01.2022 We have great news, looks like we are back on board end of this month after Vic Premier's announcement. We will be working with customers booked in over the stage 4 lockdown (they were booked in prior to lockdown, no new bookings were taken post lockdown) and then go through the list where customers have placed their interest for a session. 06.01.2022 From the press release this afternoon, unfortunately we will be stuck in stage 4 till at least end of the month. We will not lock in a date for grooming for now but I have compiled a list of customers that have been booked in during the stage 4 period. Hence, once papa Dan says we can open , I will go through the list and book doggies in. Eg if we can open after 28 September, first day back to work will be 29/9/2020. Or if 26/10/2020, then first day back is 27/10/2020. We ...are hoping that we can open asap and cant wait to see the cheeky doggies again.
