"Steve Jones, guitarist of Sex Pistols, co-wrote the Pistols' songs and a mutual fave of all three Even members was their track Pretty Vacant. As it happened, Red from Cherry recorded this particular evening and when compiling the album, Down The Shops, Ash recalled that our version of Pretty Vacant turned out OK and thought perhaps it should get a guernsy." 21.01.2022 Cheersquad Records & Tapes turns two this week and the first vinyl release was the Los Chicos album 'By Medical Prescription'. 3PBSFM have been kind enough to dig out an old Studio Five Live performance from Los Chicos and are replaying it on the mighty Kev Lobotomi's show Shock Treatment this Wed 2 Sept 8pm to celebrate. We’re feeling pretty chuffed down Cheersquad way to be able to bring you Chris Wilson’s 'Live at the Continental' for the first time on vinyl and to have a bit of fun with EVEN the band and their collection of covers from over the years, ‘Down The Shops’. Great Southern Nights is a series of individual gigs (1000 total) that will take place in various venues across NSW, throughout November 2020. The Great Southern Nights event has been established by the NSW Government to stimulate the revival of the live music, entertainment, hospitality and tourism sectors, in the recovery phase of COVID-19.
