24.01.2022 This art work has now sold. I completed this textile art work this week the images do not do it justice. The story behind it is being in lock down seeing hope, feeling the rhythm of the landscapes I love. and knowing that colour brings joy, a very tactile art work with layers of texture and hand painted silk. When you create your artwork you will be capturing the dance of the garden with layers of hand dyed fabrics and fibre and stitch. In this workshop I will share with you techniques to build up layers of beautiful hand dyed fabrics and fibres to make your artwork appear to be hand painted. The colours will be vibrant and jewel like and how you interpret this workshop will enable you to put your own signature on the finished piece. You will need to provide a sense of adventure, a sewing machine, a closed toe free motion embroidery foot and machine embroidery threads. I am really looking forward to sharing this experience with you and through the Facebook supported group you will meet new people and interact about the artwork, resolving problems and sharing ideas.

11.01.2022 How has your week been we do live in difficult times and I am always trying to find the magic . Creativity is my normal and fills my days with contentment. As creatives we are lucky to have the ability to immerse ourselves in our passion which is so important for the soul . This is my latest this week a exploration of textures and pattern I am very happy with it . I am going to use this piece to explore a possibility for a special opportunity to share that has come my way more on this soon . Take care stay safe find joy xx

07.01.2022 This is my latest wrap which has been created over many days using layers of hand dyed silks and fibres and hours of free motion stitching and hand stitching. The wrap is for a juried competition in San Fransisco fingers crossed i get in. A big thanks to my suppliers for their beautiful products Colour Streams, Treetops Colour Harmonies treetopscolours.com.au and The Thread Studio. I will be sad to part with this one a labour of love.

05.01.2022 I have just finished this art work as a commsion 150 cm x 90 cm and this is the story form hand painting the silk through all the layers
02.01.2022 I would love your opinion or constructive advice I imagine we have at least another 6 months ahead of this COVID rollercoaster and people are looking for creativity as it feeds the soul. I am considering a different way of teaching / sharing my skills in 2021. My idea is to have a subscription based " Creative club " the subscription would be for 6 or 12 months. In the " creative club " subscription you will receive over 12 months 4 small textile art projects with materials a...nd instructions each one learning new skills and using different materials these would be every three months and in-between each art project you will have a little bag of goodies which you will play, create , experiment with and share on the private FB page for the "creative club " .The textile art work kits and experimental bag of goodies will be posted out in 6 month groups all labelled in order to save on postage . As you would understand there is many many many hours of work for me setting up the projects and kits, packaging and postage. I would envisage that the kits for 12 month would be around $420 plus postage and approx 6 monthly $240 plus postage but the price is yet to be properly accounted. What I would love is lots on interaction with the students and myself in FB club and to feel that you are being inspired by possibilities i am sharing with you. Please let me know your thoughts.
