24.01.2022 ***price reduced*** SOLD***** 7yo, 16.1hh Wb/Tb gelding by World Cup showjumper Valhulla III. Currently competing EA 2* eventing, 1.15 showjumping and novice dressage (training elementary). This purpose bred eventing gelding oozes talent. In his limited competition career (genuine reasons) he has produced exciting results. He has been correctly started and schooled by a professional rider and has all lateral movements established. He has three quality paces with a flashy tr...ot and an elegant look that catches the eye, producing scores well over 65% in both eventing and straight dressage. In showjumping he is sharp and careful. He excels at cross country, being bold and straight, easy to make time. A real point and shoot and a lot of fun. He has had outstanding results in 1* this year, twice winning on his dressage score of 32 penalties. He has recently made the step up to 2* and although green at this level, he has potential for a huge future with an ambitious rider able to continue his correct education. 22.01.2022 After a not so successful Ballarat HT I headed up to Naracoorte to get a confident run before Melbourne 3day Charlie zoomed around the XC and SJ to finish 2nd and felt back to our selves, ready to give the CCI4* at Melbourne a shot in a few weeks. Billy was not his usual self XC and needs to step back a level to consolidate his training before stepping back up to 4* level. Much improved dressage from him this weekend so hopefully a bit of schooling will get him back to his se...lf. JD stepped up to 2* level with Melbourne 3day in our sights. A tense naughty dressage test, loosing his MR consistent crown. One rail SJ and a clear XC just adding time to finish in 5th place. Well done to the committee for running an awesome comp and thanks to Florence for being my truck buddy and listening to me sing Disney all the way home. Next stop, woady Yallock #horseland #CMO
21.01.2022 SOLD Competative Eventing Prospect Jake is an un-raced 6yo 16.1h TB gelding with a super nature and work ethic. With limited schooling Jake completed 2 Eventing starts last year finishing on his dressage score at EA80.... He is brave, bold and honest XC, super careful SJ and has beautiful paces making him a great eventer. He has a great attitude, not getting fussed in new environments and happy to leave a group of horses or tie to the float alone. Currently schooling 95cm. Jake does have a scar on his back leg from a paddock accident but does not affect him. As he is still young/green he is not for beginners and his owner would like him to go to a competitive rider who will take him through the levels. 19.01.2022 Great weekend at yeringberg HT last weekend. Big thanks to the committee for running such a great event and EQ saddleworld for sponsoring the event. I had 3 horses entered and all put in solid performances. Glenowen greyzing was the star of the Comp stepping up to his first CCN* jumping double clear and coming away with the win. Thanks to Edith Kane for the ride on the little star Rossatin also jumping double clear making it all feel too easy and finishing in 3rd place... Southern Sandro stern had a much improved dressage test but turning was an issue SJ. Lucky he redeemed himself jumping a super clear XC round. Professionally broken in and subsequently educated by Yona Lloyd . Going softly on the flat developing swing with three good paces.... 10.01.2022 Great weekend at Goulburn HT Sam put it some much better work with huge improvements from his last outing. Nice and easy ride around XC, he is super brave and bold Billy has really stepped up the last couple of comps. Good dressage, one rail down SJ and then a great XC round until we got a little close to an apex, leaving a knee and leaving me in the dust oh well thats horses and glad we are both okay ready for Albury in 2 weeks time.... 05.01.2022 Melbourne international 3de Well done to Janet McPherson Houghton for running such an amazing event and to all the sponsors and volunteers it wouldnt be possible with all of your efforts! What an experience to finish my first CCI4*-L on a horse like Charlie ... Very tense dressage, a super XC round with a silly run off and one of very few clear SJ rounds on Monday morning. Im always so thankful to Izzy OLoughlin for letting me ride this legend. And the biggest thank you is to Charlie for giving me all this experience at his age! Its a joy to ride him everyday and an even bigger joy riding him around the mansion gardens. JD finished his first CCI2*-L wich was his 3rd event at this level. Naughty dressage to start the comp, a super XC round with some time and unfortunately he was tired on Monday and felt the heavy going picking up some SJ penalties but he will be a great horse for the future! Thanks Edith Kane for trusting me with your first born Thanks to Cam Holland for all her hard work with the boys over the week. They are not the easiest horses to deal with but she kept them in line and squeaky clean! Florence Goodwin for sharing the nerves with me and well done on a stellar effort on Marcus! Prue Barrett for warming me up for dressage even though it meant little to Charlie in the ring, he warmed up super! Jamie Coman for the SJ warm up, always has faith in me and old Charlie! 05.01.2022 Australian Eventing champs at Wandin Park was a HUGE weekend for me with 5 horses competing across the 3 days. Long post ahead Southern Sandro stern aka Sam was in the EA80 . Starting off with a tense dressage but jumped super confidently XC and SJ to finish up in 8th place Thanks to Kara Willand for trusting me with the steed after 2 weeks getting to know each other. Rossatin aka rosscoe had his first start in EA95 with a little tense dressage test but a super bol...d XC and great SJ to finish in 12th place. He gives me a great feeling around XC and so excited for his future Glenowen Greyzing aka JD put in another solid performance finishing on his dressage score in 5th place thanks Edith Kane for giving me the ride on this champ. He steps up to CNC* at yeringberg Rosso Asiago aka billy had his first start for the season and stepped up to 4* very pleased with his dressage test for a horse who has been so difficult to produce on the flat with great feedback from the judges. Showjumped super with one unlucky rail, and 2 green run outs XC from both of us leaving us down the score board. So wrapped with this crazy ranga and how fast he has progressed in the last 2 years Skansen Purist aka Charlie started off the weekend with a very relaxed dressage test and our best score at 4* level of 65%. Freaky Charlie jumped an amazing clear SJ round. XC I am kicking myself for making the same mistake on both horses at the same combination running past an apex in the first water later in the course I was tipped out of the saddle having to pull a circle in a combination and add more penalties to my score. Still this horse blows me away with his ability and the feeling he gives me in every phase and Izzy OLoughlin is a great friend for allowing me to keep this old man going. So many people to thank for all of their help but especially to Cam holland for grooming all weekend!! 01.01.2022 Super weekend away at Heytesbury Horse trails with 3 ponies and my maiden voyage in my new truck Hats off the the small committee for running a very smooth organised event Rosso Asiago aka billy did a reasonable dressage for him, a slow XC and a couple of rails SJ to leave him in 8th place in the 3*. A great confidence run before stepping back up to the 4* at Ballarat HT ... Southern Sandro stern aka Sam stepped up to EA95 with a great dressage leaving him in 2nd place and thats where he stayed to the end. Huge improvements from this guy with very limited time together and experience, I think hes a star in the making Glenowen greyzing aka JD owned by Edith Kane put in another awesome performance coming way with another win and rug in the 1*. Such a reliable competitor and is finding it all easy at this level. Looking forward to stepping him up to 2* at Ballarat and looking to qualify for Melbourne Thanks to my sponsors for all their support and Dave and mum for feeding the remaining crew back home.
