20.01.2022 Welcome all to the new 2020/21 season. We are celebrating our Centenary year this year, first recorded game was in December 1920. whilst its challenging to plan... any celebrations events, you can guarantee when we are able to, we will. It has been an interesting time for us all and we are glad to have the season start date confirmed for the 14/11/2020. What a successful season we had last season with 3 premierships 1st XI, 4th XI and our U/12’s so let’s keep the momentum going! Firstly, we would like to announce the committee for this season President Jason Eastwood Secretary--Anthony Burgess Treasurer Sian Reeder Junior Coordinator Natalie Rutland Bar managers -Steve Fletcher and Laurie Owens Secondly, congratulate the following selections for up and coming season, 1st XI - Captain Ben Marsh 2nd XI Captain Dilin Arambewala 3rd XI Captain - Ian Rowe (Sunday team) 4th XI Captain Chris Macpherson (Sunday team) 5th XI Captain- Shannon Williams (father and sons’ team) We also have U/12 and U/14 team TBC Despite the challenging times we have been able to recruit many new players to the club and for the first time in a long time a 5th senior side which will be predominantly father /son junior development , great milestone for the club to connect our future stars to the senior group. Please make the effort to make the new players feel welcome. We are supporting Josh Symons in obtaining his level 2 coaching accreditation and we are appointing him as Club Coach supported by Cooper Wenck both will be running the training sessions, with leadership qualities showing beyond their years looking forward to integrating their new ideas to help keep our club in front of others let’s get around and support them! In regard to start to training advice may come through for an early start but at this stage November the 1st is the date, so we will keep you posted here. We have appointed Covid safe officers and implemented processes to manage keeping everyone safe and ensure we are compliant as a club. These include QR scan check ins at our home grounds this will keep a register of everyone that attends training and home games. other measures include regular use of approved hand sanitizers and wipes, for wiping down equipment and balls etc, Club will supply these to the captains and Covid officers to distribute and communicate the regulations when they are finalised at the time. There will be absolute minimal sharing of equipment, we suggest using your own equipment at all times. Club Covid Officers are Anthony Burgess, Jason Eastwood, Natalie Rutland, Ian Rowe, Josh Symons, Jason Eastwood, Shannon Williams & Steve Fletcher Let’s all work together and have another enjoyable and successful season...
