The Rules: There are 45 Numbers available for purchase in Gulls Lotto. Gulls Lotto runs for a period of 26 weeks and will commence as soon as the 45 available numbers are sold. Participants pay $20- per week, each week for a period of 26 weeks to purchase a number in Gulls Lotto. There will be 26 weekly draws in Gulls Lotto. The winning Number in each Gulls Lotto draw will be the first Number drawn in that Saturday nights Tatts Lotto draw. The winner of each of the 26 weekly draw’s in Gulls Lotto will have the option of receiving one of the 2 following prizes; - A pre-paid Visa Debit Card to the value of $ 450- OR - A Bar Credit of $ 600- available at any time The Bar is open in both Football and Cricket seasons. 18.01.2022 "Vale Kevin Canavan" The Chelsea Football Netball Club is saddened to receive news of Kevin's passing last weekend. Kevin came to Chelsea in 1970 and played until 1974. After leaving at the end of 1974 he returned and played again in 1980. He represented the club in 61 senior games over that period.... We offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

15.01.2022 "Vale" Ken Knight 05 November 2020 The Club is sad to receive news of the passing of Ken Knight on 4th November. Ken Knight played and Coached at Chelsea between 1959 and 1965 and over that period he became a loyal and valued member of the Chelsea Football Club Family.... Career: 1959 - 1963, 1965 Senior Games: 74 and in excess of 100 Reserves Games. Senior Best & Fairest: 1960 Senior Premiership: 1962, 1963 Reserves Coach 1963 - 1968 MPNFL Reserves Best & Fairest 1964 Life Member Chelsea Football Club Ken Knight in full flight was an exciting footballer with great balance and mobility. Being of medium build he was able to manage different roles but was best suited to play in the centre. Able to anticipate the flow of play, he capitalised on making good use of the ball to provide team mates up-field plenty of opportunities. The Club extends it's condollances to Kens' family & friends. R.I.P

12.01.2022 Col Counsell - A Tribute to Ken Knight. THERE WILL ONLY EVER BE ONE NUMBER 7. There are probably many Chelsea players who have carried the No 7 over the years but for me there is only one No 7 Ken Knight, the Captain/Coach of Chelsea 2nds throughout our golden age the sixties. A beautifully balanced centre-man with consummate skills on both sides of the body, No7 was a treat to watch weaving his way through traffic in the centre of the oval.... We were just kids really having come straight out of the under 17’s and playing against men for the first time. Our leader was like a mother hen, nurturing, guiding, encouraging, teaching, protecting and admonishing at times but always showing us the way and preparing us for the senior side. His half-time speeches were delivered from the heart and on occasion focussed on advising us to avoid the ‘rough stuff’ that had been threatening to erupt earlier in the game. This often involved Ken’s true leadership as he managed to start a fight within five minutes of recommencing play as he set about squaring off with an opposition player who had been ‘looking for it’ all day. No 7 had an enormous and probably unappreciated influence on Chelsea’s dominance of the competition during the sixties. He provided the senior team with a constant stream of talented young players, many of whom became premiership players due, in many respects, to his guidance through that transition period into manhood. We can all be grateful for having such a marvellous role model to show us the way. I’ll leave it to others to extoll Ken’s many other post-playing contributions to Peninsula football. Suffice to say they were significant. No 7’s passing has afforded many of us the time to reflect on so many happy times together playing our chosen sport in what was a pretty tough but exciting era. In doing so we may all come to realise that NUMBER 7 really was lucky for us as he played a very special part in our lives. Where would we be without him? To Marlene and family, I can only offer my sincere sympathies. I’m sure that you will be heart-broken for some time. I hope you find some peace in the many wonderful memories that you have. Vale Ken Knight a true Chelsea Legend by anyone’s standards. Col Counsell former player
