09.01.2022 LATEST EASING OF RESTRICTIONS FROM 23 NOVEMBER TO CHRISTMAS! SOCIAL OVERVIEW Masks no longer will be compulsory outdoors, but need it with you and if y...ou can’t safely socially distance. They remain compulsory indoors. Up to 15 visitors at a time can visit a household. (Across the course of the day). Up to 50 people can gather outdoors for any number of households. PUBLIC GATHERINGS Indoor religious gatherings have a cap of 150 persons, subject to density requirements. Outdoor religious gatherings of up to 300 persons. Weddings will go to 150 members of the public. Funerals will go to 150 persons as well. These are all subject to density requirements. EDUCATION Return to campus for students and staff summer programs in higher education and training. COMMUNITY SPORT & REC Indoor community sport has a patron limit of 150 persons, group class sizes up to 20 people. Outdoor sport and recreation has a patron cap of 500 persons, with public gathering limits of 50 persons subject to density requirements. Indoor pools have a patron cap of 150, outdoor pools up to 300 people and lessons have no limits. Up to 150 patrons for indoor. No cap outdoors. Community venues, libraries and toy libraries have a group limit of 20, up to 150 persons in total. HOSPITAL & CARE FACILITIES Hospital - Allowed one household to visit a patient in hospital, once a day. Care Facilities - Allowed one household to visit a patient in hospital, once a day. No limits on maternity visits for a partner (subject to the individual hospital) ALL allied health professional currently operating now have face to face care. WORK AND INDUSTRY UPDATE We will have a phased return to office work. (Starting 30 November). 25% of staff can be onsite and 75% from home. Public service will work from home. All businesses that operate onsite are required to have a COVID-Safe Plan in place. Real Estate indoors will go to 20 persons subject to density requirements and 50 persons outdoors. Retail open and must comply with density requirements. HOSPITALITY Smaller venues will change to one person per two square metres up to 50 customers. Record keeping is mandatory. For bigger venues, the density limit will stay the same, but the cap will be 150 person. (Total venue capacity of 300 persons) FITNESS Gyms open to 150 persons (20 people per venue & density limits) INDOOR ENTERTAINMENT VENUES All indoor entertainment (including, museums, galleries, cinemas and play centres) are at 150 persons (20 in any group) and subject to industry rules. Larger venues can operate at 25% capacity where they have over 600 seating or patron capacity plus. DECEMBER 13 as we head to Christmas: 30 visitors to your house across a day! Not all at a time and dependents are counting as well. Further announcements will be made from 6 December with further changes and restrictions eased.
