20.01.2022 What's better than adopting one kitten? Adopting two! These pretty ladies have found themselves looking for a new forever home as their previous owners have moved overseas. The cheeky twosome are very bonded so will need to remain together. They are sociable and placid girls who will settle into in the right environment right quite easily. They have enjoyed the luxury of indoor living so will need to remain this way. Their foster mum have nicknamed them Houdini one and two as... they can get into tiny places and these clever girls have figured out how to open the sliding doors on the wardrobes, so their new owners will need to be very careful with open doors and windows. It can be difficult to tell these twins apart but once you get to know them their different personalities shine through. Whereas Leo is a little shyer and prefers for you you to wait until she comes to you for pet, Tiger is a vocal chatty girl who will seek your attention. 18.01.2022 Kevin ~ I’m your typical kitten, mischievous, fun and I loooove to play with the other kittens in my foster home. Curtains are a favourite of mine even though I’m told swinging from them isn’t the best thing to do. I’m not a fan of being held, but I’m sure that could change with the right people. My sister Suri is also in care with me - she’s a bit sweeter than I am and although I’d love to stay with her (twos better than one am I right?) I’m not too fussed as long as my new ...home has another cat / kitten to play with. I’ll take a little while to warm up to you, so please be patient whilst I find my feet! 13.01.2022 Who’s this handsome young man, you ask? It’s Adzuki - one of the kittens from the You are safe campaign. Covered in ringworm when he arrived in care, this little guy has come a long way. He is completely ringworm free now and is enjoying aaaaaall the cuddles! A sweet, playful, confident friendly cat that will certainly wear the other half of a best friends necklace if given the chance! 10.01.2022 YOU CAN'T TEACH CATS ABOUT SEX EDUCATION And oh boy! We really wish we could. So instead, the team at CCR are embarking on an ambitious community desexing program to help reduce the number of unwanted kittens being born this kitten season. This problem is not just one for the cats. It is a human issue as well. With rescue groups already at capacity, the calls for help for undesexed strays, pregnant mums and everyone in between simply doesn’t stop. Despite the fact th...at we’ve been desexing where we can and as often as we can, there’s more work to do - more cats to desex and more people to help. Unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot left in the piggy bank to do so. With your help and whatever you can spare, we can help bring forth more change and further reduce unwanted litters from being born every year. 04.01.2022 We're on the search for a special home for Swarley. You see, she must remain indoors (at all times) and wants to be the only apple of your eye! Swarley has received many nicknames whilst in care: Queen of sass, Big fluff, Cutie Cat, Purring Machine... She surprises us every day with sweet new additions of her personality.... She came to us as a scared and anxious cat and was won over with treats and a lot of patience. We have learned that she likes her personal space. If she does not wish to be touched, she will let you know with a bite or a push away with her paw. If you respect her space, she will come to you for affection and pats. She is not a lap cat but will definitely sit next to you on the couch, and let you scratch her head. She loves saying hello or getting your attention by rubbing against your legs. She likes being around people and she will follow into every room that you will go. At night, she demands the bedroom doors to stay open, so she can come and go, and she loves sleeping at the bottom of the bed. Her favourite place in the whole house is under the covers in the bed. 04.01.2022 Tim Tam is a loveable little lady. She is very chatty and loves nothing more than being brushed or rolling around on the carpet to get back scratches! She is a very placid cat and happy to be alone baking in the sun but also loves the company of her humans! Tim tam needs to be in a home with no other cats or animals, she would be best suited to a quiet adult household/older children.... She is always seeking out cuddles or lap time. Adele has learnt that if she sits by someone's feet and gazes into their eyes she will be picked up and carried around.
