24.01.2022 Temporary Closure. Due to a fire in Cheltenham Park today (27th Dec) the Fire Brigade have closed the Cheltenham Golf Course and the clubhouse has also been closed until further notice. 20.01.2022 Cheltenham Golf Club Closure. By order of the Deputy Chief Health Officer, the clubhouse, course and environs are closed from tonight, Saturday 28th March until midnight on 13th April. As directed by the Department of Health, members competitions, green fee play, social play and practice will not be allowed on the course until 14th April 2020. An email will be issued to members and newsletter subscribers later tonight.

10.01.2022 Victorian Premier Dan Andrews has announced today that golf can resume in Victoria from Wednesday the 13th May. In order to allow the highest number of eager golfers to play, the time sheet will be social golf 9 holes only, from Wednesday the 13th to Friday the 15th May. The time sheet for club members will open two days prior at 2pm i.e Wednesday’s timesheet will open Today at 2pm. All bookings must be made on-line and the Proshop will be staffed from Wednesday onwards. Pu...blic will be able to book the day prior subject to availability. The updated restrictions will be reviewed during the week with the hope to return to competition golf from Saturday the 16th of May. We ask that all members and public abide by the social distancing and temporary golf rules to ensure that our club can remain open and everyone can continue to enjoy our great club again.

I wish to advise that the course and clubhouse will be open for business as usual tomorrow morning, with no changes to competitions etc. The only variation is that the 4th (and 13th) holes are closed for safety reasons until further notice. Competition will be a 16 hole comp instead of the usual 18 holes. ... The reason for the closure of these two holes is that the large pine trees on the boundary have been damaged and are unsafe.
