19.01.2022 A day on the farm . Isolation is the norm here. So lucky too have a big backyard. I can't amagine those poor people living in units with no outdoor areas. Or hi rise buildings during this time. Stay safe and be kind. Most of all support local buisness in your town.

10.01.2022 Hi all I have an idea bare with me. When your council says you can't sell your bagged manure bales of hay/straw potatoes n veggies Flower stalls and like. We say when you go to e everyone else as well before you shut me down. If they ever get to visit us all and we tell them you have too shut everyone else down first.... 10.01.2022 Hello to everyone out there as we continue to adapt . Too the loss of mkts some growers are still finding it hard too get produce out there. So as some have helped me including Eat Drink West . And the marvelous Brad Fernando. Who have assisted me in moving my produce as well as Cafe Sidra and the Talbot Providore And Eatery in The Clunes greengrocer. I'm very lucky to be able too get food too the people. So now you want too know about the oranges. Well a fellow sta...ll holder and organic grower from GoodNight near Swan Hill that did the Ballarat farmer's Mkt. And allready supplying me with her Sultana Girl Brand sultanas. Suggested maybe I could sell some fresh from the tree Valencia oranges. Picked Friday Saturday last week are on sale now from evansford.this weekend until sold come get your vitamin C fix and help a fellow farmer. Get her fruit to the people. Thankyou stay safe and more importantly be kind. See more

10.01.2022 Different times. Hi again everyone. WOW have you been cancelled yet. Don't shoot me but last night I heard on ABC radio world wide there are 140.000 people in the WORLD witch as you might know is quite large the world that is and we find our selves here . Not saying any more on that Ok I agree there are very vulnerable people out there. Our elders etc. I'm not here for that. We are at where we are at and who knows where too next. But in my opinion one thing is VERY IMP...ORTANT. please everybody SUPPORT LOCAL BUISNESS. As at the other end of this unless you the people support local milkbars restaraunts n eaterys greengrocers news agency's butchers bloody anything that is local to you no matter where you are. Many of these buisness may not be there at the other end if it ends the big two will survive They are multinational companies. Your butcher greengrocer and eaterys ain't they are local people providing a service to comunity they like with the fires and those comunitys need you NOW more than ever. That's my plea. I will say in my buisnes I rely on you everyday to go to a restaraunts and cafes to attend farmer's mkts without those things I and all local growers and producers every where will fold. That is real. And large companies cannot look out for us as greed to get a premium on return have sent all manufacturing textiles and food processing off shore leaving us with nothing said many times before we have nothing other than those who care about food sovrenty. And multinationals ain't that. Use your local buisness or they will be gone too. Thankyou. See more

09.01.2022 Gday all. Ya know it's one thing to promote the food we. grow . It's a pleasure to be able to have my veg prepared buy chefs in restaraunts and cafes. I suply Pretty spoilt I am .... Like the Talbot Providore And Eatery absolutely smashing it against the odds. I more than eve have purchased weakly from each to support those that have supported and helped my buisnes grow. These buisnes are courageous in this time. And have like all had too adapt or close. If your in Ballarat I can suggest the freight bar and restaraunt. As well as Lolas cafe restaraunt. Out here we are blessed . Tonight's Mosaca with my eggplant veg Prepared by Cafe Cidra learmonth Chefs are great they appreciate quality. And are passionate with feed back. And suggestions.

08.01.2022 Hello Creswick and surrounds. With all the work done by organisers of this little mkt we at Creswick are lucky to have the option of open air shopping giving buisnes who don't suply supermarkets an outlet with fresh food at affordable prices. This week we have an oversupply of fresh broccoli and sticking with my theme of affordable prices this week broccoli will be very very affordable. We truly are blessed too have this option as most of the state has only supermarkets a...t least buy supporting this and any farmgate shops road side stalls and any buisness that are operating you are helping keep the money in the comunity. As is for using anything local. Great work Tim and the team. See you all Saturday. Be kind and look out for those around you. Cheers. See more

07.01.2022 Now heat without wind. That's the summer I'm use too POTATOES. Yippee thanks to my friend and fellow farm shop proprietor Peter in Learmonth. We have sourced some. SNOW GEM potatoes from Drysdale. As anything local ie 50klm are still growing most planted October November. Harvest around March onwards With the Evansford farm shop buisnes picking up again after Christmas and new years break... So to does the amount of freshly picked produce. Available zucchini are in now as is beetroot beutiful fresh lettuce bunching broccoli is loving the cooler weather abundance of spring onion rhubarb etc all available now at Evansford and the Clunes greengrocer. And restaraunts including TALBOT PROVIDORE AND EATERY. Who are currently on a well earned break CAFE SIDRA LEARMONTH . Welcome back team. AVOCA HOTEL also just back from a break and ballarat thanks to EAT DRINK WEST. We have FREIGHT BAR & RESTARAUNT. G,day to Craig and the team. And a special mention to Suthat from BLUE PYRENEES in Avoca our newest customer Let me say these restaraunts all no the value of supporting local growers and producers. Because they know that more and more people are wanting to know where there food comes from. Plenty to choose from in our region when friends n family visit take them to a restaurant or cafe that uses local produce they won't be disappointed. I will shut up now. Have a nice day. See more

05.01.2022 Good morning. To all Its amazing what a little help can do. Wednesday saw the arrival of an inspiring little traveller. Arriving in Australia Saturday we are very excited by the arrival of aliza from Italy Yes Italy. She is 23 and as keen as mustard to see n learn about organic growing methods here at our farm today she aliza has seen her first harvesting and tasting straight from the plant broccoli lettuce yesterday with the help of Claire. Aliza got to give the shop ...a spruce up while it I was out mowing wearing my other hat as a gardener. As spring has sprung so do my seed orders n sowing this being our fourth season I'm extra exciting as for the first time I have been able to work n sow seed before October as the ground is dry enough to do so. In the ground l have sow beetroot in 50 mtr rows as wel as spring onion cos lettuce. As well as radish for restaraunts and eaterys as well as the Clunes GreenGrocer our farm gate shop and farmer's mkts. I.e. Creswick mkt on the third Saturday of the month. Any way here are some picks of our little shop today. In this country we are so blessed so be kind and allways spare a thought fo those less fortunate than you. Jas See more

04.01.2022 Hi peoples . It's a bit hard for me to do this post with a positive vibe with all the tragedy going on around the country. However my reason for posting today is a great idear from a post I saw recently. That explains how certified organic. Growers have to jump threw hoop for yrs to get certification that there produce has no chemical in the growing of our produce. The other guys using the chemicals don't have to do any of that so my new way of selling is to say...i...e Blk454 chem free snow peas $8.00 per kg Wooliecoles poison used snow peas $17.00 pkg. That can go with Blk454 fresh asparagus traveled 20 mtrs to shop $3.00 per bunch Verses Wooliecoles poison used asparagus from Mexico $3.99. Hmm do you notice somthing there. I do. A few things actuly. But the one that matters the most is yes hear he goes again At blk454 chem free seasonal veg Evansford We know that good clean food is very important and the people who need it the most can genrally not afford it. That's why my prices are what they are. For me it's a living a passion to feed you good clean food at an affordable price. Thank you Please spare a thought for those suffering from the country's fires if you can help please do I think accomadation is going to be the next big thing so if you have caravans campers anything look up where you can help. Take care n stay safe. See more
