18.01.2022 S E L F S A B O T A G E We had a great discussion about the topic of self-sabotage last night in our challenge facebook group. We can all easily identify areas where we might see the behaviours of self-sabotage, but our focus last night was practical solutions to break the habits that are standing between us and our personal goals!... One of the powerful strategies was to reduce the mental clutter that we may be experiencing. Whether it is a generally stressful time, you are managing working from home, home-schooling, the news, or simply this new 'normal' we have all had to adjust to, it can create mental 'clutter' without us even knowing it. Getting this mental clutter out of our heads and onto paper can help us identify what is actually important to focus on PLUS allow us to make more space and energy to prioritise these things. I would love to hear your personal solutions for when you feel yourself slipping into self-sabotage... Let's hear them!

Worrying about the day? Things to get done? Often we can start the day on the back foot without even conciously realising it.... Let's shift our focus for the rest of the day to what we CAN do in any scenario that may be causing us stress, what we can appreciate & be grateful for, and finally how we hold ourselves as good humans along the way. Ohh and is 2.7kg down! - Leanne is enjoying learning about different food groups, healthy swaps and has improved her run time by 15 seconds! - Cathy has gone from 5+ coffees per day down to ONE! - Justine getting her sugar cravings under control! Endorphins act on the opiate receptors in our brains, they reduce pain and boost pleasure, resulting in a feeling of well-being. So how do we get these feel-good hormones flowing?... A few things to try... EXERCISE This could be a walk around the park or even choosing a random youtube clip to get yourself moving. PUMP YOUR FAVOURITE TUNES Music is amazing to change your state and your mood. MEDITATE Maybe you are at a point where finding 5 minutes of stillness would make you feel reconnected and grounded. GIVE & CONTRIBUTE TO OTHERS Sometimes finding it within ourselves to reach out and cheer someone else up can help us feel better in ourselves. By now, you probably find you are getting into an iso routine that may feel repetative and not the most motivating... 11.01.2022 W F H The essentials for working from home! Who else has had to make some adjustments over the past 6 months? ... Here are a few of my top tips that Im implementing for myself and encouraging my clients to try... 1. SET YOURSELF UP There is nothing worse than trying to work from the couch or the kitchen bench all day... If possible, can you set up a corner of the house or a bedroom to be your work zone with a few of your essentials close by? This allows us to switch on and off at home which is also really important for our wellbeing. 2. HYDRATION It can be easy to not move as much, stay inside in the warm... and get dehydrated. I drink our hot energy tea all day which is hydrating, however Ive always got my water bottle there as well and am conscious to keep my fluids up. This is going to help with mental clarity, maintaining digestive wellness... and not putting on the iso kilos! 3. RECHARGE SOLUTIONS Be in some healthy prepared snacks, baking with your kids, listening to some music, a 20 min yoga session or walk in the fresh air... what can you do for a quick 3pm reset?
