18.01.2022 25 days until the State Election 2021 Only 25 days until polling day and I would love your help! North West Central stretches from Paraburdoo, Pannawonica and Tom Price in the North down to Kalbarri, Sandstone and Mount Magnet in the South and also includes Denham, Carnarvon, Coral Bay, Exmouth, Onslow, Wiluna, Meektharra and Cue.... We would love to have you on our campaign to bring about change in North West Central, a leader who will work with all stakeholders, as part of a reelected McGowan Labor Government. 17.01.2022 In 2017, we announced the first phase of our STEM in schools plan: transform 200 classrooms into science labs. In December 2020, we delivered our 200th science ...lab. If re-elected, we’ll continue this plan by ensuring every single public school student in WA has access to a quality STEM education. This means a massive building program of science labs and STEM centres across WA public high schools, district high schools and primary schools, as well as new STEM equipment including 3D scanners, 3D printers, laser engravers, drill presses and other specialist learning material. Our $136 million commitment will help young West Aussies foster a love of science, technology, engineering and maths, while preparing our older students for jobs of the future.

14.01.2022 The changes to Facebook this morning are completely unacceptable. A number of important sources of official Government information have been blocked. This inclu...des the national Bureau of Meteorology and the WA Department of Fire and Emergency Services. We understand that these pages will be back online soon - which is extremely important. I urge Facebook and the Federal Government to resolve this situation as quickly as possible. What Facebook has done is irresponsible and could have damaging consequences. A solution is needed immediately. In the meantime, emergency warning information can be found at www.emergency.wa.gov.au and weather warnings can be found at www.bom.gov.au/wa UPDATE: the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA and Bureau of Meteorology pages are now available again - please follow them for emergency information if you don't already.

13.01.2022 Science, technology, engineering and maths - we know that those are vital skills for our kids to secure the jobs of the future. It's absolutely crucial that our... schools can provide quality STEM education, regardless of where our kids live. So we've delivered new science labs and equipment at hundreds of WA schools, as well as a wide range of other projects and upgrades. But we're not done yet: if re-elected, we will fund new and upgraded science labs and STEM centres, new equipment and more - with over $130 million of investment in STEM at WA public schools.
