23.01.2022 I am woman hear me ROAR!! Here is Lovie( not her name, we need to protect her identity) Lovie came to Cherished very overwhelmed with life and as she explains it was the darkest, most traumatic time in her life. As time went on, every day we encouraged, spoke truth over her and reminded her of HER power to choose in life. Today we celebrate with Lovie as she walks out of Cherished and into a brand new vision of the life ahead of her and her bub. A life full with purpose, kno...wing who she is ..... powerful, positive and protective. Wonder Woman ! In Cherished, Lovie has planted and nurtured a flourishing vege patch, she has learnt to drive (we never had a student quite like her) mastered slow cooking, LOVED swimming lessons with bub and enjoyed the ACT therapy with Ruth. Lovie is looking forward to returning to her hairdressing course in the new year. 22.01.2022 Hi my name is Tiahni, I was the first mum to enter Cherished last year. The first time I walked into Cherished I thought WOW what a beautiful place to live in for a while, and I get the biggest room in the house!! Some of the activities I enjoyed the most whilst living at Cherished were gardening ( I was the one keeping the veges alive) Angela and I revamped the Jack and Jill seat, horse therapy, learning to sew, mindfulness with Ruth and having a few girl nights complete wi...th pizza and face masks. My daughter was loved by all the workers and was never short of cuddles. She loved mainly music time. I was fortunate to volunteer at an Opp Shop once a week which I absolutely loved, never came home empty-handed. Covid 19 stopped a lot of community connection and had us house bound which at times was challenging. Whilst in Cherished, I discovered I AM VERY CREATIVE and am ready for any challenge. I look forward to a very bright , happier, healthier and better future for my family. Recently I have moved into my very own home. I still visit Cherished each week, I will always consider myself the first and favourite mum of the Cherished Family. See more

22.01.2022 The Cherished mums enjoyed their last driving lesson, for a while.These driving lessons have built confidence and have got them on the road towards independence. Hopefully it wont be too long between lessons. Thanks again @mothersofonlygirls for funding the lessons.

21.01.2022 Today we celebrated the conclusion of our weekly ACT (Accepting, Commitment Therapy) workshops. For the past 5 months, Ruth Larwill shows up radiating love, laughter and a vast knowledge to share with the Cherished ones. The mums have absolutely loved discovering more about themselves, their values, developing new mindsets and strategies. Thank you Ruth You have equipped and empowered!!

06.01.2022 BIG NEWS As part of our 1-year celebrations (Yes, Cherished turns 1 on Monday), we are launching a major event and would love your support. As I am sure you could imagine, moving 4 mums and up to 6 infants around is not an easy task. ... Going to the park, doing the shopping, attending church programs and other social activities can be quite an exercise - Particularly when you consider the luggage it takes to move one child with pram, nappy bag and baby seat. We would currently have to do 2-3 car trips every time we want to travel anywhere altogether, which is not ideal and extremely time consuming. So.. 01.01.2022 Today was Horse Therapy!! First week of a four week course. Participants work in pairs with 1 horse, through positive interaction and teamwork, they tackle various activities to achieve a specific outcome. The women LOVED IT
