When they have a desperate scared teenager with no support, Planned Parenthood doesnt say you know there are other options like adoption, programs for new moms, classes you can take to learn how to care for the baby. Youre just moved like cattle into a room with changing stalls. The doctor barely introduces himself when youre walked into a room. You lay on a table with your legs in the air and he proceeds while liteFM plays their common tunes like Joe Cockers you are so beautiful to me. They got paid already so all is good. You lay there and question your decision. You change your mind. Its too late. Your uterus was injected and about to dilate. The baby is sucked out. You scream in silence. You made a mistake. You beg for forgiveness. 15 years later, you want closure. You want peace. You look at your little kids now that you planned for and think you actually have an older sister- She had a name. I thought about her bows and pink dresses. Wed be preparing for her sweet 16 next year. Shed have her dance with her step dad, her hugs from her siblings, and shed light a candle with me, her mom. Shed be a best friend. Wed have a life together- all of us. This is the remnants of a regretful abortion. No one supported me. My leadership in the Navy pulled me aside and told me I better get an abortion or my career was over- at 18!!! It was horrendous. I want to hold a funeral for her. I want to memorialize her. I love her and Im devastated every day of my life and I will until I die. Ill have to face her one day. I love you baby and I wish I could change my past. Ill beg for your forgiveness when we meet. These issues are becoming harder to ignore, particularly here in Queensland where in just one sitting term we have observed legislative moves to allow the intentional taking of vulnerable and innocent life at both ends of the spectrum the unborn and the terminally ill. When it comes to life issues, for the first time in a long time, it could not be clearer as to which party we should not vote for in this Queensland state election. This Saturday PUT LABOR LAST!

This is not the end of the story! In fact, the Rockhampton Branch considers that we had a huge success in the Rockhampton and Keppel electorates in fulfilling our goal of educating the community on life issues. Abortion was a hot topic at the polling booths for the FIRST TIME EVER! It is now an election issue thanks to... this campaign. Labor has finally had to face the consequence of passing extreme abortion laws in our wonderful state. Their incessant attacks on life is to their shame and we will continue to hold them accountable. We will never know how many hearts have been changed as a result of our campaign to shed light and truth. We love our state and the people of QLD, and we will continue to do our utmost to protect the most innocent and vulnerable in our community. This is a wonderful community event hosted by the Anglican Parish of Keppel, with lively entertainment, carols and stalls. Entry is by gold coin donation. It’s a magical night for kids!
