19.01.2022 Last month our dentist, Dr. Tim, flew to Vanuatu for a week of dental volunteering with the One Salt Water Foundation. This organisation helps out people in the Pacific Islands with their basic health needs. The visiting team consisted of 2 dentists and a doctor running concurrently each day. They ran a make shift dental clinic for 3 days. Day 1 in a little village called Mangaliliu; and Day 2 and Day 3 on a small island called Pele. Between the 2 dentists they were able to t...reat around 70 people. Some of the photos are of the clinic setup in Mangaliliu. You might also notice a work-in-progress medical/dental clinic the organisation is slowly building in the village. 07.01.2022 Great News. Restrictions have been lifted. We are now able to provide a full range of dental services for our patients. Thank you very much for your patience. We will continue to be cautious and take all clinical precautions, and limit high-touch items that cannot be easily cleaned in the waiting room such as Toys and Magazines.

05.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Key Points - Elective Treatment will be deferred as per Governing Bodies Instructions - We are open 8am everyday for Emergency Dental Care... As you are aware, the COVID-19 situation is well and truly upon us. Chermside Dental Care has always kept up with the highest possible standards of infection control and patient care, and have been following all of the increased infection control measures as recommended by our governing bodies. Your health and well-being as well as that of our wonderful staff, are our main priority. Restrictions will be now be in place across Australia, dictating only emergency dental work can be performed as part of Stage 3 Dental Measures. As per the current recommendations, we will unfortunately be deferring all routine and elective dental treatments (including general check up and cleans and fillings) for all patients at this time. We will still be providing treatment for truly urgent dental needs and emergencies, including dental pain. Due to this, the practice will be operating from 8am each morning. We have not made this decision lightly and are trying to do our part to flatten the curve of the virus spread and lessen the burden in our communities and health services. Again, your health as well as that of our staff and families are at the core of these changes. If you have an appointment scheduled with us within the next 5 weeks, we will be in touch shortly to reschedule. We are still available to answer your calls or emails if you have any further queries or need to make an urgent dental appointment. We will continue to listen to the advice of our regulatory boards and the government, and advise of any further disruptions to practice availability as they occur. Lastly, we would like to thank each and every one of our patients who have supported our practice for so long, and hopefully will continue to do so after these hard times are past. And to all of our committed staff members who are continuing to support not only our patients, but our practice and each other as well, we thank you from the bottom or our hearts. 02.01.2022 Wisdom Teeth Troubles? We have a long history of helping out our patients with simple and difficult wisdom tooth removals when its needed. Our Chermside Dental Care team want to make Wisdom Tooth Removal affordable, painless and transparent. We’d like to ask the help of our patients over the last 60 years to help get the word out.... We offer wisdom teeth removal (including difficult impacted, surgical removals) for $150-350 per tooth, or $600-1400 for all 4 wisdom teeth (before health fund rebates). You also get maximum rebates as we are top-level preferred providers for Medibank, Bupa, HCF, NIB and CBHS. We have Happy Gas and IV Sedation available for those that are feeling pretty anxious about the procedure. For those that are unsure whether their wisdom teeth can be done by our dentists, and you have a copy of your xray, you can send us a copy via email and our surgeons can have a look at it for you.
