20.01.2022 To all of our wonderful patients - we are doing the best we can in the current climate. We at CFMC are unable to do coronavirus testing, however, we are happy to do TELEHEALTH / telephone consults on the phone for any patients requiring advice and we can possibly organize swabbing if indicated over the phone. We also are pleased to advise, we can do telehealth for any of our patients over 70, patients with any chronic diseases, pregnant patients, patients with any immunosuppression, or mums/dads with kids under 1 year old. Please call 32564211 to organize a telehealth consult if needed with any of our doctors.

19.01.2022 We have been having some issues with our online bookings - if you need an appointment and the online bookings are down please call 32564211 for an appointment.

18.01.2022 Merry Christmas and happy new year to everyone! Please note, we will not be open on the public holidays, and will be doing half days on Christmas eve and New Year's eve.

18.01.2022 Important updates for our practice: 1. Chermside Family Medical Centre will remain open as we are an essential service. 2. We continue to ask that patients call ahead of their appointment to advise reception if they have any symptoms suggestive of a viral illness including sore throats and tummy bugs. We will call you back to make a plan. This includes not booking online if any of these issues or any COVID concerns 3. If you have any potentially contagious symptoms be prepar...ed that we may need to perform your consult outside of the clinic's entrance - however ideally over the phone 4. Dr David Ross has cancelled his leave and will be available as usual Tuesday to Friday and rostered Saturday's. 5. Flu vaccines should arrive w the clinic in the next week or two. We will update when arrived CFMC

18.01.2022 Dr Venetia Whitehead is starting back at CFMC this week. She will be working on Thursday and Friday's. We are also pleased to advise Dr David Ross has increased his hours and availability on Wednesday's. Dr Eden Richards will now be working Wednesday's going forward and will be taking Thursday's off. We will be closed for the Australia Day public holiday.

15.01.2022 To all of our patients - please appreciate this is an evolving situation. With the potential for coronavirus to spread in the next few weeks, we ask any patients with any suspected symptoms (flu like symptoms), suspicious contacts or fever and recent travel history to NOT come inside the practice as you will be putting our vulnerable patients and staff at risk. We currently do not have adequate protective equipment and urge patients to CALL and not book online if you are concerned.

13.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for working with us at CFMC RE the telephone/telehealth model we are trying to implement. Face to face appointments are available as needed - please just book these over the phone rather than online. We are trying to limit numbers of people in the clinic at once and we thank all our patients for understanding. More flu shots should arrive soon. Government funded vaccines have arrived for kids under 5, those who have chronic health issues (asthma, diabetes etc) and for patients over 65 years old.

12.01.2022 To patients of Dr McNally - she is currently away due to health concerns. Our other GPs will be happy to assist in any way during this time.

06.01.2022 All telehealth services at CFMC will be bulk billed. We have reduced our hours at present due to COVID19 and are now open 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday If you need a face to face appointment for a skin check, vaccination, pap smear, health assessment etc, please call 32564211 to organize this - currently all online appointments will be for a telehealth appointment Thanks again and we hope everyone is staying safe and well at this challenging time.

06.01.2022 Dr Venetia Whitehead will be returning to CFMC in January 2020 in a part time capacity following her maternity leave break Dr Camille Lagana has completed her registrar training and is staying on with CFMC in a full time position !
