24.01.2022 Shout out to all the parents who struggled to get up this morning, but did it anyway, whether to keep your family safe, or to put a roof over your head and food in your bellies. Whether to get your kids to school, or make sure they feel loved and nurtured at home. You’re legends....... keep on keeping on! You’re awesome and Heroes here at Chess Mates. And it is because of you we can teach your children other important life skills. Stay awesome unsung heroes!

21.01.2022 Sometimes it seems that we are bombarded with the idea that beauty is everything. But we must remember that our other qualities are what make us amazing! At Chess Mates we make sure that all children feel pretty funny, pretty smart and pretty strong because it is these qualities that will let them fully succeed in life and be happy and confident with themselves. Here at Chess Mates we encourage everyone to be kind above all else because it is this quality that will show the world how amazing you are!

We see children every day summoning courage (sometimes with a little encouragement) to make a move, take a risk, BE BRAVE!, we are lucky we get to witness the changes in our Chess Mates and we couldn't be prouder! 09.01.2022 Sometimes we get bogged down in thinking we have to be like everybody else, but here at Chess Mates, we believe that everybody should stand out! No matter who you are, you belong and Chess Mates believes individuality and kindness are the keystones for a successful life. We foster a supportive environment in our classes, and this includes our students supporting each other. No matter their strategy or difference of opinion, they are always bringing something to the table and... that is what we seek to teach. 04.01.2022 We would like to assure all parents that we are running as normal at the minute and in any situation that a school cancels we WILL inform parents as soon as possible! We are encouraging all children to wash their hands on entry and exit of our classes and all of our equipment is being cleaned thoroughly after each class. We are doing all that we can to minimise risk and are also implementing social distancing! We would love a heads up if your child is currently unwell or if you are choosing to self isolate! 03.01.2022 Hello Chess Mates!! We just wanted to say how awesome it was to meet our new homeschoolers chess mates this week! We had a fantastic time and it was great meeting everyone, and we enjoyed being back to the dynamic duo We are both very much looking forward to seeing ALL of our chess mates as soon as we get the green light from our schools to return stay awesome ...
