08.01.2022 Dear Customer, Currently in Australia, we are experiencing unprecedented challenges in terms of stock supply and increased customer numbers, amid the COVID-19 virus crisis. Despite this, we have pushed through to deliver ongoing health-based advice and solutions for you and your family. Please re-assured that Chesterville Pharmacy remains OPEN for business and is committed to ensuring that the best possible care for our customers continues.... Changes to the supply of some prescription and over-the-counter medicines: From March 20th, the Australian government has placed limits on the dispensing and supply of some essential medicines. ONE MONTH'S SUPPLY of prescription medicines ONE PACK of certain over-the-counter medicines Pharmacists are required to label all asthma reliever inhalers (e.g. Ventolin, Asmol) These measures will ensure fair and equitable access to medicines for all our customers. We thank you for your understanding. Just a reminder... DO NOT come in to the pharmacy if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or have been asked by health authorities to self isolate. If you are feeling unwell and are concerned you may have contracted COVID-19, you can: Check your symptoms online at Healthdirect Phone your GP for advice Call the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080 Complying with social distancing rules A good way of slowing the spread of viruses like COVID-19 is to ensure that we all practice social (or physical) distancing. The more space there is between us, the harder it is for the virus to spread. If you need to come into the pharmacy, please try to keep a safe distance away from staff and other customers (at least 1.5 metres is recommended). To try to minimise contact, we will also sign your prescriptions for you, and ask you to pay via card where possible. Limit the time spent in store by ordering your medications in advance for pick up. Keeping your prescriptions on file and ordering them through mobile app is a great option. We may be also able to help you with home delivery of your pharmacy order - give us a call for more information. Please understand that waiting times have increased - please be patient and respect our pharmacy teams - we are here to help! If we can all work together we will continue to be a position to support the local community. We thank you for helping us to make the pharmacy a safer place for everyone. 01.01.2022 Dear Valued Customers, We are now back to Stage 3 Stay at Home COVID-19 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne and the Shire of Mitchell. This means there are now only 4 reasons we can leave our homes for the next 6 weeks: 1. Shopping for food or essential items (including medications)... 2. To receive medical treatment, provide care for others, or for compassionate reasons 3. For exercise outdoors (with household members, or one other person who does not live with you) 4. For work or study, if you cannot work or study from home We will still be open to provide our essential service for the community. The health and well-being of our customers and staff remains the top priority for our team, and we will continue to take extra measures to provide safe and timely care for you and your family. Contactless options for accessing your medications We understand that many of our customers feel safer self-isolating at home during this period, and cannot come in to the pharmacy for their medications. In addition, those who have had a test for COVID-19 will also be required to self-isolate until their results are returned. If you require prescriptions or other pharmacy products but are unable to leave home, please give us a call to organise delivery. Even if you are feeling well, consider the social distancing recommendations suggested by the government and top health organisations to help reduce the spread of the virus. In relation to pharmacy, this may mean: Leaving your prescriptions on file at the pharmacy and calling ahead (or using the mobile app, where available) to order your medications so they are ready to pick up when you arrive. Following social distancing signs and directions in store Using hand sanitiser before and after visiting the pharmacy Paying with a "tap and go" card where possible If you are feeling unwell: * It is recommended you get a test for COVID-19 if you are experiencing ANY COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, chills, sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, or loss of smell/taste. * These tests are free of charge, you just need to bring a form of ID along with you.
