25.01.2022 We are now an online bookshop. Featured books will appear here from time to time.We are now an online bookshop. Featured books will appear here from time to time.

24.01.2022 We didn't quite make 5 years in the shop at 59 Percy Street Portland - Not that it's over yet but as of 3 March 2016 the bookshop will close. Our stock will still be available from the Portland Community Market once a month but we will no longer be operating as a book exchange. All outstanding book credit will be honoured until it expires and will be able to be used at the Market stall. It has been an eventful four and a half years in the shop and I will miss many of my regul...ars who come in for a browse or a chat but again I will be at the market into the foreseeable future. Thank you to my loyal patrons. For the rest of our time in the bookshop, 4 weeks, our prices for books will be 50% of their marked price so come along for a great bargain. (Even our book credit customers will benefit from this massive reduction so come in soon.) I will post book lists regularly after the shop closes and we will still offer a mail order service within Australia. See more

19.01.2022 Great day at the Portland Community Market today. Absolutely stoked that 3/4 of the books I took for sale sold. Portland put on a brilliant summer day and the place looked like it was a tourists' paradise, which is what it needs to tranform itself into of course. Happy little vegemite, that's me. If we could do this all the time then the tourists couldn't help coming back here. There is a future and it is tourism.

17.01.2022 He may have shifted in a social and political way but it does not make his writing any less wonderful. He is THE true poet or troubador of the late 20th century. Congratulations Robert Zimmerman alias Bob Dylan.

16.01.2022 A binding love.
