25.01.2022 CHD FAMILIES Mid Term and we’re doing fabulous!! We have had students complete their ballet exams, 2 students still to do theirs, we have tap exams approaching fast, students off to compete at Julia creek Eisteddfod and CONCERT! Reminder to GWT tap exams families that your child has rehearsals again tomorrow. Tap 5 don’t forget that your time has changed to 9:30-10:15am. ... Costume invoices were sent out yesterday, they’re due in 5 weeks. If we’re in lockdown when I go to order them, all costume money will be refunded. Reminder for concert dates- Space call- Sunday 8th nov. Dress rehearsals, Sunday 22nd Nov. 2nd Dress, rehearsal, Friday after school 4th Dec. Concert, 5/6 of December. Break up party, the following weekend. Any students competing at Verve Dance Festival in January, I will be starting solo choreography after tap exams. September holidays will be a great time to fit these in. Coming closer to concert I will need to have a group of 20 people to help with all the setting up for a Covid safe concert/ facility- there is ALOT to do! More than happy to do this for the students though xx Parent viewing in week 10 will depend on restrictions. It may be for certain classes. 25.01.2022 LAST DAY OF TERM Wow!!! What an eventful term this was... it’s so great to be coming out of the lock down now and having started concert work. During these holidays we have ballet exam students off to Mackay, Townsville & WDC for everything RAD ... I’m so proud of the families who have to make these commitments so their child can sit & do well in their exams. Next term we will start measuring and ordering costumes for the concert & hopefully be able to have a parent viewing early in this term when restrictions have lifted. I will be doing a uniform order throughout the school holidays. So for anyone who is wanting to order one, please message me. If you still owe term 2 fees, please pay these by today, and if you can’t please message me to let me know when you can. I hope everyone enjoys time back with their families. WE MADE IT.. 25.01.2022 DRESS REHEARSAL THIS SUNDAY Reminders: Make up & hair to be done upon arrival.... Arrive between 8:30-8:45 with a 9am start. Costumes, appropriate tights & shoes. DVD order forms will be at the rehearsal also Rehearsal will be finished by 1pm. You are needed for two full run throughs. Tropix photography will be there to photograph the school & individuals. If you’ve booked a time later than 1pm, Tropix will remain at the hall until all photos done. See you all there x

24.01.2022 CHD UPDATES I will be taking bookings next week for privates in sep holidays. These privates are for soloists, children wanting new solos or concert work. The privates will be first week Wednesday-Friday. Concert dates and rehearsals are booked in. The Friday afternoon 4th December rehearsal will not be happening anymore- instead it will be bump in day with my Covid team. ... I am ordering more Chd uniforms for term 4 in the next couple of weeks. This will be the last one for the year. If you’re in need of a uniform or new sizes, please place order with me. Costume invoices are strictly due this week. Ordering will be placed straight away as this was the latest date possible. There is a ballet & contemporary workshop happening this weekend in Mackay. If you haven’t already booked in, there is only a few spots left. This workshop is also a audition into the companies showcase. A tap class for all grades will most likely be required in the school holidays to finish their routines off before term 4 starts back. 22.01.2022 CHD FAMILY REMINDERS Hello everyone!! We’re coming into the middle of term 3 and things are looking POSITIVE... x Please see a few reminders below & some new information.... Tap 5 girls- your rehearsal times for Saturday have changed please see the email I sent out this morning. Mock exam times will have to be changed due to less people being allowed in the room for each exam. Times will be sent out in the next few days. Tap exam date has changed from Sunday 6th to Friday 4th as students have a pupil free day that day. Thank you for all that responded to the email. Private’s will start this Saturday from 10:45 onwards at the studio. I will send an email out tomorrow to all tap exam families and the soloists competing at Julia Creek. Term 3 fees are 14 days overdue now. Costume invoices will be sent out this Wednesday, and strictly due week 10 of this term. Every child should have received a Father’s Day raffle letter. I will be doing a uniform order this week for next term, for those who wish to order I am measuring students the first week back of term 3 for their costumes. 21.01.2022 CHD REMINDERS Good morning families; Please see below all reminders for this weekends rehearsals. ... This Sunday our rehearsal is at the PSHS hall. Space call will be the first half of the day, followed by dress rehearsal. No make up is required at this rehearsal & just neat hair. I will be doing our concert hairstyle in our break that day on a student, for those who are still unsure on how to do the hair. Please make sure you arrive at 8:30-8:45 for a 9am start. You will have time throughout the day to go out and buy food if you wish. Once your child has done their last dance in their costume, youre free to leave. Ticket sales will be announced early next week. CHD Families will get tickets prior to going public this year because of the cap. The shows will sell out fast!! The CHD makeup kit from Sass Dancewear is not compulsory. It’s to help parents who are new or for families who may not have our make up colours. Children are required to wear stockings & correct footwear for each dance. Intermediate modern, hiphop and jazz will have later classes this week. Thank you xx See you Sunday

21.01.2022 CHD CONCERT TICKET SALES We’ve had an insane weekend of selling tickets, with selling almost 700 tickets over the weekend! One sold out show within half an hour, & with the other two not far behind.... Tickets go on sale to the public TOMORROW! But don’t stress, I’m sure with the new restrictions, that the cap will be lifted. 20.01.2022 CHD FAMILIES Hello CHD families, hope you’re all well. There are a few reminders below x... This Friday is a public holiday. Usually we would not dance on a public holiday however because the show has been cancelled, dancing is still on. We only just got back into the studio, so this year is a little different I do understand though if your family has organised to go away for the weekend, just let me know you won’t be attending Friday classes. Part 2 of term fees are now over due. RAD exam families, there will be an email sent out this week regarding rehearsals this weekend/ or the following weekend. I want to thank everyone for the support over the last 10 weeks, because it was a new and difficult experience for everyone. ... I will be holding private lessons next week on Monday and Tuesday morning. If your child is an exam student I would highly recommend booking in if you feel your child needs the extra repitition. 09.01.2022 COMING BACK TO DANCE Today is the day!!! Yay! Firstly there are a few changes to how we normally operate.... you are no longer allowed to hang about in the foyer unless you need to see me. you will need to wait outside or in your car before your class starts and enter as you see the class before coming out of the building. you MUST bring your own water bottle. I won’t be letting our water machine be used until we’re back to normal. if you’re sick STAY HOME I have done the COVID-19 infection control course. We will be applying our safe plan for COVID-19 within our school. I CANNOTTTTT WAIT to see you all

As you will see ‘ Pre - Senior ‘ has been added in styles Jazz, Modern & Hip hop, to accomodate our large group sizes, that keep getting bigger & bigger. ... 01.01.2022 VOCATIONAL WINTER WORKSHOP Tylah & Maddy both participated in this workshop over this past week in Mackay! Preparing for their exam, and may I just say- they’re looking exceptional!! ... Tylah is absent from the photo as she was in group 1 on another day , however in Maddys group she was able dance with two WDC girls who were also at the workshop, Emily & Taylor.
