22.01.2022 I’m back into making my fabric purses. I started making purses in this style in 2017, though only with steampunk fabrics back then... However, I always intended to make them in other fabrics, and now I have. Most are still available (the oriental one, right side of middle row) has already sold.) All purses have a crossbody chain. The purses are $49 each. All made by me, in rural NSW, Australia. Can be posted anywhere...just add postage cost (within Australia that would be $9.20.)

21.01.2022 Pretty pansy fabric for this Cutlery-on-the-Go (shown with cutlery to 'explain' it more clearly, but you actually supply your own cutlery). And don't you love that big flower button! $25 plus postage (see previous post for a special offer).

21.01.2022 And for you chook lovers, check out this Cutlery-on-the-Go fabric! Just three made in this fabric...

19.01.2022 This Cutlery-on-the-Go roll would suit the wine lover (and that might be any one of us!!). The second photo shows the Cutlery-on-the-Go after the top flap is folded down over the cutlery. Last photo shows it all rolled up. :)

19.01.2022 Back in 2018 I had the idea to make a cutlery roll, to allow you to take your chosen set of cutlery with you wherever you go, whether that be picnics, caravaning, camping, or even for take-away food (so much nicer and better for the environment than using plastic or other disposable cutlery!). Of course, being stupidly busy with my shop etc. I only made two of them at the time, which wasn't enough to make a good display in my shop, so they waited patiently for me to make som...e more... And with the recent suggestions in the media that people take their own cutlery to work in their offices (due to the virus restrictions), it seemed like the right time for me to get making again, because so many of us need to be mindful of keeping a personal set of cutlery with us at work or play or travel. :) I call my product Cutlery-on-the-Go, and it is made from lovely cotton fabrics (good quality patchwork fabrics, of course!). When it is open, there are individual pockets for your teaspoon, spoon, fork and knife, plus chopsticks - which come with the product. You supply your own cutlery (which keeps the retail price down). There is a flap at the top which folds down over the cutlery, and then you roll it up, wrap the cord around the roll a couple of times, and then secure it by wrapping it around the button that is on the outside. Easy! I make only a few from each fabric - absolute maximum of 6 per fabric, though in reality I rarely have enough fabric for more than 3, and quite often only enough for one! So they are quite individual, making it very easy for you to know which Cutlery-on-the-Go roll is yours! And of course they make a really thoughtful gift. :) Keep an eye on this Facebook page, or my companion Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/chiatanyadesigns/?hl=en), for more Cutlery-on-the-Go items. Lots of lovely fabrics to choose from, including some that will suit the blokes too. :) Each Cutlery-on-the-Go roll is $25, but until the end of July 2020 I am offering a special deal of 2 for $40 (plus postage). This offer is only available via my Chiatanya Designs Facebook and Instagram pages - just message me or email me to make a purchase. See more

15.01.2022 I have recently made a few more of my Indigo Brooches (I make some from time to time). Three of them are for sale here, and in my retail shop (The Creative Edge - Gifts and Crafts, Braidwood NSW Australia). Each brooch comes in a box, and is hand-made from Japanese fabrics, plus some hand stitch and in some cases, beads. They are AUD$24 each (plus postage). I never make two of these brooches exactly the same (that would be boring, right?!)

11.01.2022 Love dragonflies? Me too! Only three made in this fabric...

10.01.2022 I've recently finished making a couple more of my Indigo Brooches. This one features a metal origami crane charm. $24, plus postage. Like all my brooches, it comes in a box. :)

09.01.2022 Two more fabric purses. $49 each.

08.01.2022 I’m now making face masks. I do them in 3 sizes: small/medium ($15), medium/large ($15), and large/XLarge ($16.50). All have 3 fabric layers, and all fabrics are prewashed. The layers are: outer layer is cotton; inside layer is fine polyester; inner layer (closest to face) is 1500 thread count cotton/polyester. They also have a channel to insert a nose bridge wire (2 wires included in pack), plus boning down the centre front which can be bent just beyond the nose to help ho...ld the mask away from your mouth, making it much easier to breathe and talk! I do the masks with either ear loops or cord plus toggle as the fixture. The fabric choices change regularly, giving you plenty of variety! Can be posted anywhere. For customers in Australia, postage for one or two masks is $9.20. Buy 3 to 5 masks in one purchase and I will pay half the postage within Australia. Buy 6 or more masks in one purchase and postage is free within Australia. See more

04.01.2022 Here's one for the blokes :)

03.01.2022 This is the other Indigo Brooch that I made recently. I love those traditional Japanese fabrics with the fish on them! Had to use one on this brooch, along with a sweet little snippet of shibori - which reminds me a bit of the moon. :) $24.
