06.01.2022 2020 in a wrap! What a year we’ve had here! In 2019 we went out and thanks to Leon Mcdonald we purchased 2 lovely yearlings. We have been lucky enough to race these kids with some of our best friends, and the absolute best owners!! Storms Colours started the year showing us he would in time want more ground. We made a trip every second week over to Ballarat for an unlucky 6th first up followed by 2 thirds and he finally got the job done at in August over 1500 which we feel... is even short of his best. He has improved leaps and bounds into this preparation and can’t wait for next year and 2000 Chatacain rewarded his amazing owners with a win in September relishing the heavy 9 and the mile. It was such a special win after an accident in May we didn’t know if he would race again. He has the best group of owners and they love him like no end! We purchased the Headwater x Venezuela colt from Melbourne premier. He was a pleasure from the start, the easiest breaker in the world! And he’s showing us now that he has a motor and we are looking forward to him showing up in 2021. The homebred Puissance De Lune x Queen Elsa got started as a racehorse and she is coming along in leaps and bounds, she will take a bit more time but when she works out what it’s all about, she’s going to make a lovely stayer. Jordy got her harness drivers licence and was lucky enough to get her first win at her 4th drive for brother in law Mitchell Frost ! She did it at home on always a duchess, a big thrill for everyone. Jord’s out there having a crack and jumping at any and every opportunity and is so great full for all the support she has received. We couldn’t be prouder of you Jord! And of course, our queen Rainbiel, She has done us proud at all 5 starts, she recorded back to back wins and showed her class with a placing at Caulfield on Cup day! She’s been hard work at times and there many people who deserve a thank you, from those who help me get her onto the track every morning (it gets quite eventful at times ) to those who ride her jumpouts (Ash we know how much you love her ), Dean who kills it Raceday keeping her together and of course Marcus her usual track rider who did an absolute cracking job getting her to keep her cool the way she does now! We can not wait for her in 2021 We thank farriers William Lewin, dentists, the amazing Anita Burke for your advice and letting us pick your brain about everything! We congratulate those around us on all success throughout 2020, training horses is not easy and we cheer home all our Kilmore family! 06.01.2022 Squad Noisey (chatacain) just back into work! The best he has ever spelled for a good prep! Woodie (headwater 2 yo) nearly ready to have his first jump out! Chloe (Puissance de lune 2 yo) done a huuge job this prep and is heading out to rejuvenate those big gangly legs! Barbie (Rainbiel) nearly ready to jump out ... Sunny (storms colours) jump out next week Eddie (Le prieur) had his first gallop back from tendon on Saturday it’s looking great at the moment!! Tavi (Tavistock) 4yo- just come back in, has strengthened and looking amazing We have such an enjoyable team at the moment! It’s been a long time since we were at the races so it will be good to get back there early next month! See more
